Borg-Warner EFR (Pierburg) boost solenoid plumbing

The boost control solenoid mounted on a Borg-Warner EFR is a Pierburg according to its label. https://blogdotturbosourcedotcom1.files.wordpress.com/2016/02/boost-control-solenoid-duty-cycle-examples1.jpg?w=812 The port besides the electric connector (named 'inlet') is plumbed to the compressor housi...

renew https certificate

It is expired since 21st April 2017. You should also redirect to https at least for the login page so the users credentials aren't transmitted unencrypted over the Internet.

Re: Low PW Compensation

I have ID1000 and found the low pw comp info on their website for the Haltech Elite so I assumed there must be a way to configure this. What I did is to enable Fuel / Generic 1 Correction, used 'Injector Output 1 Injection' for Axis 1 and entered the ID1000 supplied values. @Matt: so this doesn't do...

Re: ST215 Gen 4 Setup

Thanks Alex!
Did you wire pin 13 of the 34 pin Haltech connector?
My tuner told me I can safely disable it in ESP which I did for now.

Re: ST215 Gen 4 Setup

Thanks!
My engine is from a ST215 Caldina, as far as I know that's the only one with it.
There is a newer ST246 Caldina which has the Gen 5 but I don't know its trigger configuration.

Re: ST215 Gen 4 Setup

Hi Matt!
The current 3S-GE/3S-GTE preset is valid for the Gen 2 and Gen 3 which have a distributor, not sure about the Gen 1 in a ST165 Celica GT-Four.
The 3S-GTE Gen 4 has reluctor crank and cam sensors, trigger is 36-2 with 1 home on the intake cam.

Re: ST215 Gen 4 Setup

Does the trigger preset not only include the number of teeth?

Re: ST215 Gen 4 Setup

Where did you get the 34 pin connector pin 13 input from? On the ST205 wiring diagrams I've only seen the OEM ECU pin 'STA' getting +12V on cranking but not sure if on ignition too.

Re: ST215 Gen 4 Setup

I'm converting from a Platinum 1000 to an Elite 1500 for my ST205 also with a Gen 4 3S-GTE, would be nice to include all generations of 3S-GTEs in the Trigger Type list.

Re: ST185~ 94 ST205 swap PS1000

Hi Alex,
I've a 3S-GTE Gen 4 in my ST205 and have used the Gen 3 loom and fabricated an adapter from the OEM ECU connector to the Haltech PS1000.
I'd suggest to spare you the hassle and purchase a Boomslang harness which is available for the ST185: http://www.boomslang.us/haltech-platinum-sport.php

Re: PS 1000 Gen 4 3SGTE Base Map?

Still haven't had the time to create a car section on my website and put my map up :| My 3S-GTE Gen 4 trigger settings are: Motronic 36-2 + 1 Home Trigger angle 195 degrees Tooth offset 1 According to Scott that's suboptimal and it should be more tooth and less degrees to avoid errors under high rev...

Re: 2JZGE LS2 Coil wiring help

Your wiring diagram looks good, I've done the same thing to my 3S-GTE before swapping the Gen 3 for a Gen 4, still using the stronger LS1 coils on the Gen 4. If the 2JZ-GE is the same as the 3S-GTE and uses a high-voltage output from the igniter to drive the tachometer you will lose it. You have to ...

Re: turbo 1fz landcruiser tacho

I had the same issue with my 3S-GTE. The Toyota tachometer needs a high voltage signal so you either need to amplify the DPO or remove/bypass the resistor on the tachometer.
