Flat Shift Options for H Box

Hi All, I have a Subaru with the stronger 6 speed box. Although not indestructible, it is much stronger than the 5 speed. I am using a HD clutch which has plenty of grip when engaged, but may slip if engine has full power when it is not fully engaged. I am trying to find just a few tenths and MPH ov...

Re: Help sought with MAP clamping on 1JZ

There is two ways on the interceptor to clamp a signal to avoid a boost cut. Which way you use depends on what the stock ECU uses for the boost cut. If the main load reference of the stock ECU is a map or maf (air flow) sensor, and you are intercepting this for fuel control and this is also used for...

Re: MAP or TPS load scale

TPS is not recommended on a turbo car. Depending on the boost control setup, 100% throttle could mean 10psi one day and 15psi the next. Therefore you apply the same correction at different boosts. Map is nice because it get around above problem, but to tune is very easy as a certain boost level corr...

Re: Sti 99' Install

Hi All, The VSS should be cut and sensor side to spare digital input, and ECU side to Spare digital output. You then configure the roadspeed digital input to the input you used. Set the datalogging up to display roadspeed, and adjust the roadspeed input parameters until roadspeed matches the speedo ...

Re: Platinum Sports series support for Fuel Compostion Sensor

Thanks Adrian. The Sport series will not recieve this feature. The Platinum Pro series is gearing up for fuel "profiles" at the moment. Thanks Scott. Is the Pro series going to be released as a generic that can be fitted to cars other than the specific released application? ie. Can I fit ...

Platinum Sports series support for Fuel Compostion Sensor

Not sure if this has been previously requested ot is in fact implemented without me knowing it: Would be great to have a timed digital input that could read the 50-150Hz signal from a fuel composition sensor (ethanol content) and then have the result trigger a blend of injection time and ignition ti...

Re: Trigger voltage threshold

Hi Guys, I have scoped the signals, and know quite a bit about this sort of thing. I know that the correct edge is falling. The signal stays close to zero most of the time. As the tooth goes torwards the sensor it rises. As it comes level, it goes to zero. As it goes away it goes negative. This is a...

Re: Trigger voltage threshold

What trigger edge are you guys using? I am using rising and it seems to work with the expected trigger angles on an early Subaru, but I know that it is supposed to be the falling edge from previous work. I suspect the edge is inverted in the software. Just wanted to see what edge others are using. M...

Re: Fuel Map % Adjustments

The percentage is a percentage change to the load signal. In most cases this is applied to a voltage output from a sensor like the air flow meter. So for example, if running an air flow meter with 0-5V output, and the MAF input of the interceptor is set for 0-5V, then if the signal is 3V, and you ap...

Re: IQ3 Custom Configurations

Has anyone succeeded in getting EGT and oil temp working. Haltech, is there any chance that you could provide a list of all parameters that the Haltech sends along with corresponding VNET ID. I assume armed with this information, we could then setup the custom channels to read these parameters? This...

Re: Closed Loop Boost Control Setup

It does not matter what you put in the start duty map in the boost levels you will never run, as they will never be used. It does however make sense and make it look nicer to take some guesses to get a nice smooth curve. Normally this map would have 0s until your wastegate boost pressure. Then it wi...

Re: Closed Loop Boost Control Setup

Hi Guys, Controlling spikes can be done in a number of ways. The best thing to do is a datalog of RPM, boost, boost set point and boost DC. Do this datalog for when you are getting the spike. Then you can look at what the boost DC is actually doing to see what is not right. Normally you want it to r...

Re: Trigget setup

Speaking trigger setup, does anyone know what the correct edge (riding/falling) for reluctor triggers? I have mine setup on what I believe is the wrong edge (imported an E11 map), and the car is running fine except for a trigger issue at RPM when hot. I just want to reset up the trigger and make sur...
