Re: Quick Tip: Something to be aware of when NOT using Auto VE air temp compensation.

Do the air really heat up that much in the intake? If I have 20 degrees air temp going in my plenum. What is then realistic the temp is when it enters the cylinder? The m3 has really good intakeports. Anyhow the engine is tuned and I never changed that because i had no idea about it. Maybe best to l...

Re: Quick Tip: Something to be aware of when NOT using Auto VE air temp compensation.

I noticed that my calculated air temp was way higher than actual value.

I’m using the auto VE air temp.

You have any clue why?

Logg the channels that can give an answer and do the same again.

Then you will know what’s going on.

Re: Dbw calibration problem

I had a issue with my M3 ITB:s not opening 100% When the calibration was done. Actual opening was more line 90%. For me it turned out that the springs made too much resistance for the motor, I guess that the current Haltech gives out to Dbw is leas than what bmw delivers making the motor weaker. (Co...

Re: DBW Traction Control

Im really sure Bmw use this strategy on their Oem engines.

Should work well. But I have no clue if Haltech’s software can do it atm.
You can do a lot with the generic tables. See if it works and if it does let us know :)

Box A or B???

How does this work?

Can anyone explain the box a and b and when to use different one?

I want to buy an i/o expander. I have none now.
I do have a canbus hub, egt box a, dash and Wideband controller.

Is box a and b only when you have 2 of the same type of box? Or how does it work?

Re: Fuel composition scalar

According to the “internet” the m3 s54b32 has a 106 VE what I understand?

And yes the injector data was way off.

The 1300cc injectors on N-Heptane is only 1150 on e85.
Good to know and most people don’t know this.

I’m running my engine a bit richer to what I guess bmw does, it’s now about 108 VE.

Re: Elite 2500 o2 long term trim resolution

Maybe it does not need 32x32 but it would be great with more resumption anyway.

I will try what you said, most adjustment are below 5000rpm and lighter trottle.

Thanks!
