COP and Trigger Offset Angle

Ok, so I need to expose my ignorance to the world again and need some more education.

With a coil on plug ignition, how does one connect a timing light when there is no spark plug wire?

If the crank trigger pickup leads were reversed, no harm to the ECU. The curve produced is a sine wave. The wave would be inverted. The trigger is supposed to happen when the wave is down sloping. The trigger would occur at the same time and would vary the instrumented crank position with speed. Con...

Bosch COP Pinout

Working to install COP using Bosch 0221604115 coil. These are used on Audi/VW cars 2.0L Turbo engines '08 - '10 or thereabouts. These are smart coils with 4 terminals numbered 1-4. Been doing a lot of searching on the net but haven't had any luck so far.

Been waiting too. 1-10K rpm is a lot more prevalent than 0-20K rpm. Is my mind going or do I remember correctly that rescaling the gauge in ECUManager was possible?

Other observations-
An ignition igniter is required to drive the ignition coil. The Motronic has the driver circuits internal, the Haltech does not have it.

B11 terminal needs +12V switched power as well.

I converted another BMW engine that used the 60-2 trigger wheel and a VR sensor. Pin 1 from the sensor was +. And so your wiring diagram to B1 of 26pin Haltech connector looks to be correct.

There are many questions in your post. The attached Bosch catalog may be of help to you. Tuning with a MAF is 1.000 in all cells to begin. Haltech advice to me was to use gm air/cyl as load and will be approximately 0.70 gm air/cyl maximum. My engine is a BMW 1990 S14 engine and I do not exceed 0.80...

GaugeArt responded and helped by posting an App of a slightly earlier version and it worked. No solution as to why the PlayStore version locked the gauge. Anyone know how to reset the gauge to get out of a programming mode locked screen ? Haltech markets this made by gaugeArt, but it has the Haltech name on it so am looking here for a clue. It starts the engine on the first turn in waste spark and semi-sequential injection so it doesn't have to wait for the cam sensor signal. Kito-818, If the quick start was left unchecked when the synchronization was performed, there wouldn't have been any mystery. Enable when the angle setup is done. I wish Haltech would include this hint in the setup instructions. There seem to be so many having the same head scratching.

Just a thought, pin 26 does is not the supply +12v for the injectors. It is a flyback feed FROM the injectors TO the Elite. +12 v from battery thru a relay is the supply. This can be confusing sometimes if preparing your own harness. The relay is ignition switch controlled so power to the injectors ...

Just another data point. Not entirely the same setup as you, as I have both fuel and ignition set to gm/cyl and all is well.
