Re: F10X IACV setup

Connections vary depending on which valve you have. You might look at the Megasquirt site, they have a good explanation on the operation and the various types. It's how the internal driving coils are terminated out to the connector.

Re: trigger angle changing

You will get a message that it can't be done with the engine running.

Re: Setting TDC

I am not familiar with this engine and what the pointer means. Is it really TDC?

Turn off the "quick start" feature temporarily while synchronizing the ecu to the engine and the waste spark issue is not messing with you.

Re: DBW Cruise Control

The PID parameters refer to tuning a control loop, not the physics of motion. Look at the webinar links I posted, it should clear things up.

Re: Low PW Compensation

The fuel pressure given by ID is the differential pressure across the injector, not the absolute fuel pressure given ESP. Because the table in ESP does not have a second axis available, I used a row of voltage values where I most often operate. I interpolated for a set of values to a diffewrential p...

Re: Low PW Compensation

I see the latest firmware/software now has "effective pulse width" parameter, so the data from ID should be able to be used. The fuel pressures in the id data though are the differential pressure across the injector.

Re: DBW Cruise Control

Here is another one with a more practical example. It is lengthy. It shouldn't matter that it's produced by a competitor because the concept is what you are after. I don't know enough about PID control to say which part to change. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16Clfh5eBzg There is a follow up vide...

Re: Mass Air Meter

I use a Bosch 02 802 180 89. I live in Colorado and travel to near sea level at least once a year and over 11,000 ft passes frequently. I struggled with speed density for years and the MAF is best hands down. It has an integral IAT sensor as well. These are used on 1990s Volvos if you have access to...

Not used yet, it came in yesterday. I need to review the discussion above. It looks to be in the same format as for the larger injectors.

Re: Low PW Compensation

If anyone is using the ID 725 injectors, the attached file was sent to me from ID. This is not on the ID website. I requested the info and they developed the numbers. The file may not make it to their website because the ID725 is no longer being sold and other info for them is not found anymore.

Re: PWM fan control - reduced duty when A/C enabled

Select Thermofan Function / Thermofan Tab, check the box Enable with AC and set the minimum duty you would like. The thermofan will run whenever there is an ac request at no less than that minimum duty. Fan duty will increase if the engine calls for cooling along with the AC.

Re: HOW DO I WIRE UP MY IGNITION IGNITION WIRES?

cyl 1 on output 2, cyl 2 on output 2 and so forth.
Set you firing order.
Select Waste spark mode.
Ecu takes care of firing 1 & 4, and 2 & 3 together like it was originally.

The stability reports have gone away with the last two ESP versions. Someone listened.
