Re: Haltech IAT settings read too high

All AVI's have 1k pullups available except AVI 1 and 6 which don't have pullups. SPI's have 10k pullups available. This info is actually on the wiring diagram, but it is easily overlooked. AVI1 and 6 were designed for narrowband O2 use which is why they come from us with shielded cables and no pullu...

Re: Rescaling RPM dial gauge in ESP

Just an opinion (we all have those), but as a tuner I never use dials, I always use numbers or trace views. I either want to see the actual number, or I want to see a rate of change with a trace line. Often both. Dials take up too much screen real estate for the information they give. It is why most...

Re: Rescaling RPM dial gauge in ESP

ECU Manager allowed it in the Main Setup. Someone just never got around to it on ESP for RPM, perhaps deemed as not being too vital at the time.

Re: Haltech dual wideband and elite 2000, wideband gauge turns on by itself

Maybe you wired it to constant 12V+ rather than the provided switched power? Normally the CAN widebands will not be powered until there is a 12V+ power provided by the ECU via the CAN connector. So, if you unplug the CAN cable does it turn off the gauge? If so you have an ECU wiring issue where it i...

Re: Transient throttle lean tip

You can, yes. It can go up to 3000.

The original firmware engineer that wrote this code actually mucked it up. He wrote it intending that the Rate table would handle the amount, and the Enrich tables were corrections where it should have been the other way around.

Re: Log speeed hz seems slow?

Not all channels are sampled at the same rate, especially the generics. The speed of each channel can be tweaked by us and this is something we are assessing at the moment. But I know your response will be to make every channel refresh at a gazillion hertz but it just isnt possible for everything. L...

Re: Software Bug in 2.22 and 2.23??

If you have no oil pressure on startup then you cant currently set the activation at such a low RPM or you are tripping it off. It is meant to be set for normal driving and I don't normally set it to trip on engines until you are at an RPM where you will damage the engine, so around 2000 - 2500 rpm,...

Re: Gencoupe overboosting fuel cut

Are we talking about an Elite here or a Platinum Pro and this is in the wrong section? There are no Genesis vehicles in our country with the 2.0T so my experience is close to nil (only ever seen one). But, don't the 2013 models have a stepper motor boost controller, or something similar, and I am fa...

Pullups on SPIs are also not the same as on AVI's. This will skew the calibrations too.

The output wires from us are not polarity dependent. The ECU figures out the right way to drive them when you do the calibration.

Re: MX5 NC ECT issues.

Unplug the sensor and bridge the two pins. You should see the values change in the software. This will tell you if the wiring is correct or not.

Re: Transient throttle lean tip

As a general guide for tuning Transient Throttle on just about any ECU, always try to get your normal sequential enrichment (Synchronous in Haltech speak) as best as it can get before you apply any group fired enrichment (Asynchronous in Haltech speak). So zero the Async Amount table first, then aft...

Re: Transient throttle lean tip

Now before I get started, the Transient Throttle function is earmarked for a complete overhaul as soon as time permits. The goal is to make it easier to set up and to work better on more vehicles out of the box. Add to that a better attempt at naming functionality so people actually understand what ...
