Re: DBW idle control, rpm dips below idle speed on transit to idle

Nope. Goes to Base Duty + Long Term Correction + Decel Offset when you lift off the throttle.

If it is not a fuel issue as we normally see with LS engines, it perhaps needs more Decel Offset and a shorter time around 0.5s

Re: injector duty cycle

Injector Stage 1 Duty Cycle is the one to watch.

If you are on v2.24 firmware you can disable this annoying DTC message. It is a tick box in the Injection area of your tables.

Re: Toyota ACIS wiring

Over-thinking huh? Never seen that before in an engineer :? To keep the engineer happy, the main reason ground is used by the ECU is for safety. Much safer having grounds run everywhere through the vehicle than 12V+. Also means the ECU does not need a massive 60A power feed to control everything!

Re: 2JZ Crank Trigger, hall effect

Looks like it has another tooth missing somewhere. I agree a new tooth wheel is a good idea and we have seen them with teeth falling off before.

HALTECH AUSTRALIA IS MOVING

Having spent a number of years cramped into a building way too small for the growing company, from the 2nd January, 2018 we will be moving to: 17 Durian Place Wetherill Park NSW 2164 It is only a short distance from the current location but is a much better location for us to move forward into the f...

Re: HT-055174 Avi pins about

You can manually enter the calibration numbers which came with the sensor. Then there is no confusion.

Re: Toyota ACIS wiring

You should be able to simply unplug the solenoid and measure both pins with a multimeter. If if has 12V+ to one of the pins with the key on and engine not running then the ECU is most likely the other side and should be low side driven.

Re: Toyota ACIS wiring

Are you positive it outputs a 12V+ signal. Almost all ECU signals are ground switches.

Re: Toyota ACIS wiring

The ECU does not provide 12V+ for most outputs. Only the Stepper outputs can do High Side driving.

Use a generic function to do what you need.

Re: Acceptable idle/AFR fluctuation

Keep tuning. It should be stable if everything is stable. Maybe 14.7 is not the best AFR, you can experiment with changing this.

Re: Flex Fuel Sampling Threshold

Just a note that the sensor should be placed in the pressure line as all OEMs that use this sensor do. I would not install it in the return line.

Re: best N/A engine for 1/4 mile drag race

K24A engine.

At least here they are worth nothing, and even without serious mods in a light car it should go 13-seconds. More compression and it will go 12-seconds.

Re: V8 Two Stroke Ignition

I do absolutely love the idea and it will be a very interesting vehicle, that's for sure! If this is a distributor all I can say is 8 sparks per crank rotation is one hell of a demand on a single coil, and it would need CDI for certain to run. I would be trying to use coil per plug with an 8-channel...

Re: 2JZ Crank Trigger, hall effect

The pattern is common to all Toyota from around the late 1990's to current. There 34 teeth (36-2) with a half-height tooth between the missing tooth gap, and for anyone not familiar you can google "toyota 36-2" and you will see images of what it looks like. Designed to only work with a rel...
