Re: Hello, new member here

It is a good place for Haltech ECU owners to talk to each other. I try to help and answer when time permits.

Enjoy!

Re: 350Z Red box help

Being a piggyback it wont be doing the 5V pullup. The OEM ECU should be doing this.

Re: Rev problem...

If a Trigger Angle of 80 was needed my guess was that one of the sensors was wired with the wrong polarity. They all need around 65, and that goes for all Toyotas with a 24 and 1 pattern.

High RPM miss on JZ's usually comes from too high a charge time in my experience.

Re: WHAT IS A BASE MAP?

This should be more suitable.

The Application Team will update ESP to have the new map, and any other places it appears.

Re: WHAT IS A BASE MAP?

You are correct. One of the applications guys has buggered up the base map for the 93-96. It looks more like a 97-98 map. I will have words!

Re: Incorrect wiring?

Well, I checked the very last Sport 13B Terminated harness we have left in stock along with the ignition sub-harnesses and you are most certainly correct, the pinout is backwards. Someone in production will have a nice talking to very shortly. Shoot me an email with the invoice showing where you bou...

Re: Incorrect wiring?

It is a DTM connector, so you dont really need special tools. Small pliers to remove the orange lock. Small flat screwdriver to lift the tab for each pin. Are you positive the connector cannot go in the other way? I will have to grab a harness and have a look if this is a one-off or an issue.

Re: Incorrect wiring?

You can see the colour of the wires as they are meant to pass through the connector. Looks like you have it upside down.

Re: Platinum Pro Plug In, S2000 AP1, CEL P0373, Wont Rev about 2k rpm

As it says, you have a crank sensor issue that is most likely related to crank relative to cam signals. The short answer is to scope both signals with the crank to see how they relate. You can send this to us to be checked if necessary. I am going to take a good guess that you have a tooth on your c...

Re: R33 RB25 Base map 4WD Table

It just replicates the TPS signal that the OEM ECU outputs to the AWD controller.

Re: Cold start flex-fuel

Things like Primer and Cranking Fuel tables are 3D, so this is typically mapped over ethanol percentage to allow it to start correctly all the time.

When 5V is not 5V. Same as above, something is overloading the 5V. You can watch the 5V channel, usually over a trace view to see what is happening.

Re: Elite 2000 - Suddenly gone lean

Long Term only does what Short term is doing, there is no secret magic to it. If STFT is positive it will learn positive, if STFT is negative it will learn negative. LTFT does not look at the AFR in any way. The only issues we come across are when you try to run too high a gain and turn your Long Te...

If you have 12V+ power to a stepper you will set the drive type to Low Side. If it does not have power you will set it to Both.
