Re: Adding additional sensors to Platinum Pro Plugin ECU TB48

You can use any sensor that you know the calibration data for. Getting the correct data sometimes involves more work than just using the sensors we provide and know do the job perfectly.

Re: 350Z Platium PnP Injector Flow Rate Question...

I actually daily drive a 350Z. You are correct, it needs to map the flow over MAP because the pressure that you actually see at the injector tip inside the inlet manifold is changing with manifold pressure, but the pressure in the rail on the other side of the injector is not. So the effective injec...

Re: Switching a ground output to posative? Coils

Almost all OEM ignitors, whether internally in the coil or external boxes, use the same method of firing. In our system you will set Constant Charge with Falling edge, and this is how it comes set up by default. The dwell or charge time is dependent on the coil and not the ignitor. It can be measure...

Re: Rotary Trim Module for Load type switch

Not going to happen sorry. It fundamentally changes the required tuning and axis information, besides nobody has ever asked or wanted to switch sensors while driving. Sensors rarely fail, or you would see cars stranded all over the road everywhere you go. Well, some makes we see broken more than oth...

Definitely on our list to do, but the list is 1000's of items long and only so many hours in the day. Many firmware updates coming over the next few months so you never know!

Re: Rpm Based shift points on elite

Give the ECU front and rear wheel speeds and it will do traction control.

You will have to get creative with the generic tables to do your own shift tables. The ECU is not designed for auto shifting.

The Elite series will drive up to 8A per driver.

What injectors are they? Siemens 2200s?

Re: Racepak to Elite 550

Which exact model dash do you have, it sounds like one of the older models? It must say Haltech on the dash to be compatible otherwise you will need an interface module. It also does not connect over the DTM8, it uses the VNET connection on those models.

Re: DBW Traction Control

Map your MaxDBW table over wheel slip. Works for NA or supercharged engines. Works not so well with turbo cars as it stalls the turbo and you need to respool. Ignition cuts are usually much faster and work better.

Re: New to Elite 550 questions

There are no base maps dedicated for the stock FC because the OEM coils are not supported on the Elite ECU range. Going to direct Fire is not problem and the 550 will do that. IGN1 to Lead1 IGN2 to Lead2 IGN3 to Trail1 IGN4 to Trail2 Injectors go the same way. Pri1,Pri2,Sec1Sec2. You can use any of ...

Re: S54b32 vanos pid setup

You always dial in PIDs to suit the application. Nobody can give you numbers that will just work.
If it is very slow to respond with values that high I would say you have solenoid issues. Most VCT mechanisms respond very well with P around 500 to 1000. I and D are usually under 100.

Re: Wiring in my 1500. Relay and fuse questions.

If you are referring to the ECR then yes you have the wiring correct. For all other relays, no you do not use constant power for the trigger of the relay you use ignition switched 12V+ so that 12V+ is not present with the ignition turned off. Yes the ignition switch input should be fused. Typically ...

Re: NZ Wiring CAM Trigger (Bosch Reluctor) for RB25 Setup Issue

Yes the optical units do have their own issues, just whenever you are looking to replace it go for a crank based unit to main issues.

But I do like reluctor sensors so it is good to see a kit using one.

Re: NZ Wiring CAM Trigger (Bosch Reluctor) for RB25 Setup Issue

If you are not getting a trigger tooth count then the ECU is not seeing the signal from the sensor. Being reluctor you should have used the Yellow Trigger + wire and the Green Trigger - wire from our loom. You maybe have the tooth gap too large, or the voltages set too high in the Trigger Arming Tab...
