E11 case ground?

Just a really quick question. Is the E11 grounded to the outer case? I mounted direct to a floor pan with metal screws and I'm wondering if I may have to isolate the case. TIA.

Re: e8 losing home signal on 60-2

Take a high resolution picture of that Cam trigger wheel please. And post your Tune file. You can Zip the file and attach the Zip file as noted. Or use Drop Box, Google Drive or any of the other Cloud drives ( Your ISP usually has a Cloud file as well ) to upload you Tune File. Then simply post the ...

Re: e8 losing home signal on 60-2

Can you attach your tune to your Post? Also, do you have the correct Firing order setup? E8 ECU defaults to an inline firing order of 1-5-3-6-2-4 Honda J35 V6 firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6 You have to use the " Auto Generate Firing Angles " button under Main Setup> Advanced Setup after chang...

Target AFR won't change.

Having a weird problem with my E11 and HalWin 1.71. I can't seem to save changes to the Target AFR Map. Tried to change a number of cells from 14.7 to 15.0. Unlocked Variable Points. Made changes. Locked Variable Points and Saved all Maps under the Tune name. . However, when I reopen that particular...

Editing Aux Input parameters

Question about Auxilary Input Parameters. A lot of the groups seem to have no Parameters set. There are no fields to adjust. All that you can select are Normal or Inverted. I want to set up an LSU Heater control or O2 Heater control on a WB controller, so that the Power Relay will not come on until ...

Re: E11v2 with msd dis 4 plus

Ignition Output 1 through 6 goes to Cyl 1 through 6. Constant Charge, Rising 3.0ms. Yes. Found out the hard way on an Audi that the MSD DIS 4 ( and 4 Plus ) will not operate correctly with a Dwell rate of less than 2.5ms . 3.0ms should be ideal. 2.5ms dwell limit is not documented anywhere in MSD s...

Re: E11V2 Peugeot 205 New install

Further to this, I don't really want to go wide band at this stage. Trying to keep it simple. You're also making it a lot harder on yourself. There is absolutely no reason at all not to use a WB controller these days. 14Point7, AEM X-seriers, PLX, Zeitronics are all good controllers. Stay away from...

Inverting Map Axis

Using Halwin 1.71 on an E11. Is there any way to invert the MAP Axis. The Fuel and Spark RPM Axis on the Y axis start with 0 RPM at the top and high RPM at the bottom. I found this counter intuitive when building a Map. Can the Axis Values be inverted in the software, or even in the .INI configurati...

Re: E8 with a 6 cylinder

Thanks. I think I've figured it out. Looks like the E8 can drive 8 Hi-z injectors or 4 Low-Z. ECU is actually a friends and he got it for free E8 is a whole lot better than what he has currently ( SDS ) . I'd rate SDS as pliers, the E8 as a trusty ol' Crescent wrench and a New Elite as a Snap-On Pro...

Re: E8 with a 6 cylinder

So How would we go about enabling two more injectors? Can we do it through the software or would we have to pair injectors together as Mutipoint or Barch fire. I've included a screenshot of the Auxilary Outputs for an E8 ECU in Halwin 1.71. I have Ignition 1 enabled for my single Ignition coil. Igni...

E8 with a 6 cylinder

Is it possible to use an E8 on a 6 cylinder engine? Engine is a supercharged Datsun L28 inline 6. It is using a standard Distributor. It would be either Multipoint or Batch fire as there is no home signal from distributor. Simple Vr reluctor. I was thinking of using the Ignition #2 and Ignition #3 s...

Re: Dropping resistor question.

So I'm using 295 cc Low impedance Supra Injectors. Part #23250-70040. Yellow tops. When checked with an Ohm meter these measure 3.0 ohms. By ohms law these should draw 4 amps. Correct? Since there is no 4 Amp selection for Peak and Hold injectors, should I go up one step and choose 5 AMP Peak and 1....

Dropping resistor question.

I could have sworn I started a new post on this earlier and now it's disappeared. I'll try again. When using Low-z injectors, I'm assuming that the E11 use some form of automatic PW current limiting to control the injectors, based on their amperage draw. . That would be with the dropping resistors r...

Re: Dead Time values for E11

I think the original instructions were just a little confusing. Warning about not changing settings was throwing me off. Later instructions have clarified us of the Battery Table Here is a screenshot forE11-V1 , default Battery compensation, which instructions warn not to change. ( Instructions Vers...

Re: Dead Time values for E11

Thanks. I think I've figured it out. I believe it's under Battery correction. Since I have somehow acquired an Uber rare Version 1 ( Serial #E11-0047 ) , there are some differences in the Battery Compensation instructions.. Instructions for Version 1 say to leave the battery correction alone. 3.5.3 ...
