Re: Elite 1500 and DIS 4 HO is ignitor needed

The DIS 4 is the ignitor in this situation. Just wire the Ign1-4 outputs to the 1-4 inputs of the DIS 4.

Re: Datalog Channel Definition List

What definitions are you needing? Usually the name of the channel is pretty self explanatory. Plus, this list has every channel that can be datalogged to the ECU.

You would need a 1000 at minimum to properly control K20 VTC.

Re: injector duty cycle

225's are awful small for methanol. I work on two cars on methanol, one being a 427 SBF turbo with 700lb injectors, and the other a turbo H22 Honda with two sets of 550lb injectors. The SBF was on a single set of 550s last year, and we were out of injector at about 28psi (somewhere around 1800whp). ...

Re: Problem with CAN system and ECR Relay

For one, the black cables should only be used for the first and last devices on the CAN network. The hub to hub cable should be white, or just cut the looped wire on the black cable. Second, why run the 3 port at all in the new layout? You only have 5 devices total, the 6 port hub could handle that ...

Re: Wideband reporting lambda as stoich when it's actually rich

I'm not really sure what you are trying to accomplish beyond simply thinking that the WBC1 is reading incorrectly. That is certainly a possibility, but your methodology is confusing at best. If you think it's a sensor problem, why not just try replacing the sensor? They don't live forever.

Re: SETUP HELP ELITE 2000 SBC421 60-2 AEM EPM 1 CAN HOME

There are several problems with just the two screens you posted. 1) Your 421 CI engine is input as 421 CC. It should be 6899 CC. 2) Max cranking RPM needs to be higher than 100 rpm. This value should be above the maximum speed you would see from the starter motor alone. Usually a value of 300-400 is...

Re: Elite 550 wiring

You will need a missing tooth crank trigger at a minimum to run fuel only. And at that point, you are literally one wire away from full ignition control as well, since you are already running an MSD ignition amplifier.

Re: Elite 550 wiring

Why don't you want to use the ignition control? I suppose you could just not connect the output from the Elite to anything and run fuel only, but you're throwing away half of the functionality of the ECU...

Re: Elite 2500 ignition wiring

Most 2 wire coils are "dumb" coils, meaning they do not have an ignitor built in. You will need some kind of external ignition amplifier to control them.

Re: Interpolate Rows and Columns!!!

If interpolating across rows AND columns at the same time is a dealbreaker, then I'd be wary of the tuner and also what he/she considers in an ECU. This is a minor inconvenience at best...

Re: Step in VE map due to injector staging?

Blake. Cheers. updated images. I linked them from google+ but it didn't like the link obviously. This is the pump map. Relevily flat. Had no issues with injector staging. (But as pump fuel needs less quantity Im assuming the staging only happened in boost zones. Anth pump fuel map.jpg I expected th...

Re: Step in VE map due to injector staging?

None of your pictures are loading. If you upload them directly to the post instead of linking them they should work. Your staging enrichment is set to only 1 or 0 engine cycles, so that's definitely not affecting it, although you could zero out the percentages to be 100% sure. Do you have any datalo...

Re: injector duty cycle

You need to log Injection Stage 1 Duty Cycle as Matt said.

What is your fuel type/injector size/pump etc and power level?
