Re: Toyota 1UZFE and an Elite 2000 (or other Haltech ecu), anyone?

Awesome! Thanks guys! Now, the next question is, which one should I be looking at buying? I've searched all over but can't seem to see a difference between the different models! Nothing in the sales page say anything about them. So, box A, B, C or D? I'm assuming it depends on the ecu I'm going wit...

Torque Reduction function for sequential trans?

Can someone explain this function to me? There is nothing in the help file that I could find... I will be fitting an Elite to a K20 powered open cockpit car that uses a Hewland 6 speed sequential gearbox. Currently the owner is using an air shift setup with another brand ECU, and has to lift to upsh...

Re: Toyota 1UZFE and an Elite 2000 (or other Haltech ecu), anyone?

It's a matter of preference. If they are going to tune it completely, you don't NEED an onboard wideband, but it's something I like to see on all the cars I work with. I look at it the same way I look at an oil pressure gauge. Sure, you could fit one only during break in and it could be right for th...

I would ditch the narrowband o2's and get a WBC2, but otherwise you should be fine with all stock sensors.

Re: Data log viewing

The only difference between "Save to File" and "Open with Datalog Viewer" is whether it opens the viewer or not. Both will ask to save the file. If you want to view the log right away, then "Open with Datalog Viewer". If you just want to save it to view it later, then j...

Re: Trouble assigning connection for DBW TPS

I don't remember the exact reasoning, but Matt posted in the recent past that AVI 1-8 are the only valid inputs for DBW. Something to do with the way the safeties are setup on DBW. I would just move the TPS inputs to the other AVIs and use 9 and 10 for things like air temp or coolant temp.

Re: 2500T wiring diagram for the triple rotary trim module

Without knowing what module you have, based on the colors, I would think red is power, black is ground, and the white wires are the three signals. Any available AVIs can read the trim modules.

Re: Can gauge set up

If you already have a CAN wideband, you will need a CAN hub to connect all 3 devices (Elite, WB and gauge).

Re: 2500 to rem comm fault

If the harness you have has B23 and B24 tied together between the REM and the 2500, then you will need to rewire those connections into the CAN hub instead of a direct link between the boxes. As a test, switch your 2500 to the Haltech CAN over the main connectors, and see if the REM shows up, but lo...

The REM needs to be on the CAN bus as well.

Just create a new map in ESP and it will load a default calibration, just like any other ECU.

Re: DBW TPS reversal

You definitely need to use both DBW outputs, it is not meant for dual DBW control. I found an old post from Matt, it is Pin A26 that powers the DBW controls. Do you have the injector relay unplugged from the fuse box? Per the Haltech diagram, A26 gets it's power from the injection relay (R2). If you...

Re: DBW TPS reversal

I don't know enough to say what would happen when you connect the throttle motor in a way not specified by Haltech, but I wouldn't call it "working" if it's tracking in the wrong direction. Do you have power coming in to A26 and B11 on the ECU? I believe A26 or B11 is the DBW power source,...
