Re: Elite 1500, CAN bus for Aim Evo4 logger

I have done this exact setup. You need a CAN hub and put the Elite, WB, and Evo4S all on the same Haltech CAN bus. The vehicle-specific bus is for interfacing into those specific vehicles for driving factory instrument panels and controls.

Re: elite 2500 wiring

Trim modules can go on SPI's, I've done this on cars that did not have any spare AVI's available. The 010504 module is a 12 position knob. I've never used the older style, and can't find any documentation on it besides a basic wiring diagram. I'm not sure if it has set positions or is just a variab...

Re: Wiring in my 1500. Relay and fuse questions.

Yes to all questions on Relay 1

As far as ignition input goes, IMO, all power connections should be fused, even if the diagram from Haltech doesn't show one. The Ignition Switch input doesn't draw much current, so a 5amp fuse should be plenty.

Where is the CAN system getting it's power? Are you plugged into the port on the ECU, or did you add your own wiring?

Re: Wideband Controller blinks while off

It shouldn't blink at all with the ECU off. How do you have it wired? If you're using the CAN connections, you only need the power and ground connections on the main connector at positions 1/13 and 12/24.

Re: 2500T Torque Management Options

I've been asking for this for 2 years now. If nothing else, they just need to allow the "drivetrain sensor" input under VSS to be the driveshaft sensor and calibrate it from there. Not that we really need gear detection on the drag cars I've wired/tuned, but it would be nice to see MPH ins...

Re: Gear Detection / Gear Ratio

you need to be driving, in the gear you are trying to calibrate. Sometimes you need to hit it more than once.

You need a function VSS for this to work.

Re: Base map wiring diagrams

It's not a full diagram per say, but if you open up the Main Setup menu, then click "View I/O Report" at the bottom, it will give a pinout of the ECU in it's current configuration.

Yes, Box B is only if you already have a Box A (two I/O's, more than two WBC2's, etc).

Re: Input filtering - Wasn't this supposed to be added a while back?

Great to hear :) Thank you for the reply, much appreciated. You'll make me even happier if there planning on allowing generic sensor AVI to be filtered.. :) I've got my APP input hooked into the secondary system (on a generic channel) which is from factory unshielded and suffers from oscillation wh...

Re: Elite wire harness relay temp

An active relay does create some heat, even without a load. I've never measured temp, but 105* doesn't sound excessive. The fuel pump relay isn't getting hot because it's not staying on, just running for a few seconds to prime and then shutting off.

Need a datalog and map file to make any suggestions. Also, this should be in Tuning Discussion, not Elite tech support.

No, you do not need to use the jumper wire.
