Re: Crank trigger questions. And others.

1) 36-1 with a VR sensor will be a simple, cheap, easy to set-up and reliable solution.

2) Cam trigger is needed only if you want sequential injection and ignition.Without one semi-sequential or batch and wasted spark ignition will be the only available running modes.

Re: R35 ignition coil dwell times

If i remember correctly at 14volt 3.5ms dwell time should be sufficient for proper and reliable operation.

Re: Trigger Woes

You can use only the 60-2 trigger and go for a wasted spark ignition and semi-sequential injection or even batch and call it a day if it isn't a daily and low fuel consumption is a top priority.

Re: Trigger Woes

Make it motronic 60-2+1 home shaving off 3 teeth at the distributor. What that guy said at the starion forum sounds logical as with evenly spaced pulses the ECU has no way of properly determine where the camshaft location is so it doesn't know if the piston is at compression or exhaust.

Re: Overboost

If you remove your actuator your boost will skyrocket and having overboost function to act as a boost control is a no-no. Let's say for example you are at 1 bar or 15 psi under full boost. If you remove your actuator and set the overboost at 1.1 bar or 16psi in order to achieve your target the ECU wi...

Re: Back fire when i turn the key? Now it wont idle

Seems like Haltech likes to trigger the coil drivers on key on. It will blow stuff off the intake, it did for my two cars until I installed a relay and set an rpm switch to close the relay on cranking to avoid the blowback. I know that it is an old thread but for everyone that get that occasional b...

Re: sprint 500 without ignition module

Your coil doesn't care what type is your crankshaft sensor that you are using but your ECU does! Give more info about the sensor.

Re: sprint 500 without ignition module

Assuming your coil has an in-built ignitor then ignition output #1 from ECU at 1+4 cylinders from the coil and output #2 at 2+3 cylinders.ECU ignition outputs 3 and 4 are left unconnected.Set ignition option at wastespark-constant charge-falling edge output and if you are using a vag coil like 032 9...

Re: E6K - Faulty signals

Just an idea but maybe alternator is overcharging producing high voltage and that makes the ECU to be confused and going crazy?
