Re: Filtering of MAP sensor input.

On a previous car I had these same throttle bodies and a good vacuum signal without any issues, and that was a smaller engine with a much more aggressive camshaft. I hope the bugger does not have a crook valve or something like that. Having said that in order to save time before you dig deeper tuni...

Re: Filtering of MAP sensor input.

You can insert a restrictor in the vacuum line but it will make your map response slower. Can you go Alpha-N?

Re: Placement of MAF on forced induction engine

Furthermore place it at the middle of the straight section of the pipe as placing it near bends can confuse it giving false readings.maf needs undisturbed air flow to work properly. How far from a bend would you reckon would be required to get back to nice smooth flow? Just looking at some setup op...

I know the spammers like hitting this thread. Doing what I can to delete the users and posts. Please ignore them, but I am sure you already know that. The system picks up many of them but some get through the detection. If they were smart they would post at "off-topic" section.Harder to d...

Re: Tach Output

Most likely yes if the tachometer receives signal from the oem ecu at the first place.Start at 5 volt 50% duty cycle as first attempt-base line.

Re: Tachometer questions

No.you will be using a 6 cylinder engine to a tach that used to measure a 4 cylinder one and expects to see 4 pulses per engine full cycle.furthemore ECU tach output cannot simulate the input that these types of tachometers expect which is 4 high current voltage spikes.ecu tach output is digital not...

I am scratching my head now on what is casing the timing to advance like crazy?

It's the EPM itself.Use different trigger method.
