OK really...this closed loop boost control is making me furious

I have a pretty sensitive turbo setup. Stroker RB26 GTR...2.75L with Borg Warner 8374 EFR turbo. .92 Internal Wastegate. Now with Turbosmart dual port actuator and MAC 4 port valve. The problem I am CONTINUALLY having is that when I drag race the car in CLOSED LOOP mode the boost will spike. This is...

Re: r32 gtr, which pin for anti -lag?

Are you using "anti-lag" from a dead stop? Do you want to use it every time you launch? Then I'd recommend just using it with speed less than 2 mph and more than 90% throttle. This way you don't need an input. And you can still rev your car at a light by not pushing throttle all the way do...

Re: Car dies intermittently. No restart for 5-10 minutes.

I'm no haltech engineer or anything, but my ecu never loses connection to ECU while data logging even if my car dies. Sounds like you have a short to ground somewhere in the supply side to the ECU. I would check wires / ecu mounting / any other accessory wiring. Check to see if a wire or something m...

PWM control of AEM 380LPH pump (044 style)

Not sure but it seems like this pump has some sort of voltage protection made into it on the low end but that's only half my problem. I am grounding a DPO output to a 40 AMP SSR and made a table to run the car based on MAP and RPMs. The cell at 0 rpms and 0 psi is my priming cell and I run that at m...

Re: car stalls when letting off the throttle sometimes (on warm engine)

Thanks! The zero throttle map was loaded by default when I started modifying the base s2000 map for turbo. It's good to know that the zero throttle map takes over everything else. Does the Haltech Platinum plug-in have onboard knock control or do I need a knock board like I do with the Autronic? I ...

Re: car stalls when letting off the throttle sometimes (on warm engine)

You can attach .zip file extensions so we can get all of your files. Any special reason why you are running zero throttle timing map instead of running DECEL cut? Don't forget zero throttle table takes over ALL other tables when it's enabled. I would disable it since you have "DECEL FUEL CUT&qu...

Re: R32/ R33 Platinum Pro issues

I hate to say, but this one is over my head. - You will need Haltech support (I'd call the forums are SLOW to respond). Yes sounds like your unit is powering on and off repeatedly. I don't know the hardware side of the haltech, but this sounds like the case. Either the supply voltage isn't solid and...

Re: Anti-lag?

Thanks for that reply, that makes sense! Will watch that video now, a few times over! Does this mean that in your particular case, you are WOT at a stand still (which activates your 95% throttle at less than 5MPH) and it builds boost until 5000 RPM - Does the ECU then hold you at 5000RPM even thoug...

Re: Anti-lag?

Thanks so much for that reply! Does this mean that you dont need to set up more advanced options to get it to work? I might have a little look on the laptop later today. Its only a street car with bolt ons so, it would likely never or hardly get used, but very interested in it. What does the 500RPM...

Re: R32 GT-R PnP Not decel cutting

Confirmed the throttle percent is going to zero. Still will only cut on a zero throttle table. You can EASILY tell when it's actually cut and when it's not. I'll get some logs showing AFR on decel to help.

Re: R32 GT-R PnP Platinum Fuel control

Matt, I can't get these pins 104 and 106 to read out per factory manual. My fuel pump control module doesn't seem to be responding correctly, but regardless I don't get the factory ecu numbers at the pins of the ecu. If I were to use one of these two pins to control a second staged, pump can you ple...

Re: R32 GT-R PnP Not decel cutting

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check that in a bit, but I'm pretty sure throttle does in fact read 0 on the TPS (not sure of decimal) because I checked all that when I adjusted it. I will confirm 100% and let you know.

Could it be anything else?

Re: Anti-lag?

Very easy to setup. I think they are in the "Advanced" options in the setup area. Click the "antilag launch" box on the "main" section which will open an "Antilag launch" tab at the top. In there you can set what type of trigger (none, clutch switch, or antila...

R32 GT-R PnP Not decel cutting

My car will not fuel cut on decel. I think I have tried everything. The only way it will do it is to run a zero throttle table, but I don't like the way it comes back to idle like this. Is there a glitch or setting somewhere I'm missing? I know the tune attached has antilag rally on, but that's work...

R32 GT-R PnP Platinum Fuel control

Matt, 1) What do pins 104 and 106 do from the Haltech? 2) Are they configurable? I know they are likely fuel pump voltage modulation controls, but I don't see their outputs in any data-logging. I want to know what they are doing to perhaps use one to control another fuel pump. 3) If I wanted to use ...
