Re: 4AGE 20V BASE MAP NEEDED

Making a base map is something that ideally needs to be done with the motor running in-front of you. Somebody could do it based on just internet info about firing order, capacity but it'd be very crude and probably just as much work.. And then you'd have to remember what info was correct and what wa...

Re: Log speeed hz seems slow?

Yeah i don't use the PC Logger for pulls, only steady state stuff. I doubt it's USB 3.0 (could be wrong) in which case there will be a relatively low limit to the data transfer speeds/poll rates. Unsure about the haltech, but the Subaru SSM logger would slow down with the more channels being logged....

Nice simple addition: Absolute PSI for a unit.

We have Psi/Hg, Kpa, Kpa Absolute, etc.
Would be nice to have Absolute Psi as an option if possible :)

Re: Cam control OUTPUT VALUE

Sorry I should have been more specific. I didn't mean the advance was in cam degrees, just that it's not like crank TDC degrees. It's its own unit; it's a advance or retard from resting position.
My bad, can see how that read out.

Re: Knock Sensors

Two ideally, but you can get away with one if you want. If you choose to do that, I'd personally setup per cylinder timing comps so the bank without a sensor has less timing. That way knock will be pushed towards the bank with the sensor. Two always better though. As for sensor mounting, from memory...

Re: Mapping fuel load against injector pressure differential?

Yeah, I've since learnt to accept its a case of "near enough is good enough" Especially when calculating mass.. lol. Otherwise you have to compensate for humidity, air temp, fuel temp, altitude, ambient pressure, head/valve temperature.. Realistically AFR being .2 either side of target isn...

Re: Cam control OUTPUT VALUE

That's the target angle that the ECU is going for.
Actual angle is under a different channel (can't remember the exact name, but it's something like "cam control angle bank 1" etc

And it's cam advance or retard angle, not crank angle :)

What state are you in bud? I've got an E2500 on my 07 ez30
Happy to have a gander at your map when I get back from Japan (2nd)

Make sure your edge selection is correct on the sensors.
My TDC Offset was the same as what haltech had in the base map.

Need to bring some brownies down to the engineering guys, might push 32x32x8 up the priority list a little lol.
Worked on American Dad :P... Wouldn't suggest flicking your underwear at them though lol..

Re: Elite 750 - Lexus is300 - No start

Upload your map, people that are familiar with them may notice something unusual.
I presume you setup your TDC offset angle? Quickstart enabled? Sensor types confirmed? Edge selection?
I also am guessing you've tried another sensor?

Re: Cutting out at high rpm

Is your crank sensor a reluctor or hall-effect? Bad luck.. Out of curiosity, I presume you changed the regulator to upgrade your system voltage. Is that new reg correctly sized for your stator? I've seen people go with aftermarket regulators that are undersized for the stator capacity (AMP/wattage w...

Re: Mapping fuel load against injector pressure differential?

Worked ok, but less consistent than MAP with the injector flow rate base.
Suspect it doesn't work with the air mass calculations as well.

Back to MAP and trying to figure out how I test the FPD scaling on the injector.

Re: Cutting out at high rpm

Curious why you would "upgrade" your system voltage.. a lot of electronics aren't designed for much more than 15v. Log your voltage during a run too, see if it's creeping up with RPM. Personally I'd be logging everything possible and looking for anomalies. The rpm signal going spaz isn't a...

Re: 32x32x8 Long term fuel trim.. But with a compromise.

Good point, even 32x32x4 is 4000 odd cells, hadn't considered the exponential increase. Still would be Lovley, I'd still take 32x32x2 over two banks of 16x16x4 if there was no space to spare. Other thing that'd help would be celing values for a bunch of tables.. "Do not apply learning if you're...
