E6k running trouble, where do i start to look ??

Postby moradi2k » Sat Apr 07, 2007 8:33 am

I'm running E6K and Msd 6a ignition on a vw 1.8

The car has been roughfly mapped and i think i have some trouble with the ignition. When im out driving and floor the pedal the car will sometimes misfire, But if I rev it and release the clutch the car goes better to the rev limit then before,

plugs are new, Mangnacore plug wires are new also

Im using a halleffect sensor to signal the haltech and the MSD 6a unit is also brand new. Using a street blaster coil to trigger the distribrutor.

What should i look at first?

My igniton setup looks like this

Trigger angel BTDC: 81

trigger input: Halleffekt

trigger edge: Falling

output type: Constant duty

output edge: Rising

and will switch after 50 %

CAn upload the map also if that is of any interrest,,

Any pointers?

if it only happens when you hit the throttle quick it is probably your throttle pumps settings. do a search in google for "haltech throttle pump". look for an article by HITMAN.

good luck!
