I have a trigger problem in E6X with SUBARU EJ25 DOHC (NA) engine.
I found there is no cam sensor in this engine and the crank sensor comes with 2 wires, one for signal (positive?) and the other one (negative?) is connect to ground in the stock ECU.
I thought the sensor is reluctor sensor and tried to connect the signal (positive?) to E6X trigger positive input (yellow cable), and connect the other cable (negative?) to E6X trigger negtive (blue cable).
I’m confuse about the reluctor sensor, in haltech manual said there are positive and negative pin in this sensor, but why the stock ECU grounding the negative pin?
Could you please advise me which sensor negative wiring is correct?
(a) Cut the Sensor Negative to stock ECU (grounding in ECU) and connect it to E6X trigger negative.
(b) Connect it to E6X trigger negative even it is already grounding in stock ECU

It wont matter, connect it to either. The bigger problem will be whether or not the E6X supports the EJ25 trigger pattern. It changed throughout the years and I cant tell you which pattern the E6X supported.
