Upgrading to a 3 bar MAP sensor

I have a 1991 Subaru Liberty with a Haltech Interceptor installed.
ATM I run about 16~17psi (pretty rough tune) as the car is a work in progress.
The stock Map sensor is a 2 bar one and cops out about the 17-18 psi mark.
So to run more boost I need a higher rated Map sensor, correct?

If this is the case, what sensor should I get?
I understand you have to configure the Interceptor to work with the new sensor (as well as retune), how do I go about that?

A lot of the sensors on eBay are about the $120 + Delivery price. Where can I get one cheaper? perhaps a wrecker? but from what car?

All help greatly appreciated.

I suggest that you get a new one, and the one that Haltech sells.

1st. I is the most important part, as it is what drives the Fuel and Ignition numbers.
2nd. Used=Unknown Reliability
3rd. It will be much easier to configure accurately as it has been used before and the *.cal sheets are likely already in the ECU.

BTW: The off the shelf External MAP is a GM product.

So any way of doing this? and If the vehicle (99 sti in my case) uses AirFlow meters stock, can you switch to speed density (map sensor) only ???
