I need a validation please.
I'm trying to understand the point of Cloosed Loop BC other than just being able control boost by gear.
I have a haltech electronics mac valve boost controller connected to my PS2000.
I just run open loop and on the map, I put the duty cycle at 100% until I want to target a boost level, then I reduce to a lesser value. So most of my map under 5000rpm (when full boost is achieved) is set to 100% to keep my 17psi spring wastegate closed, then I have 60% to achieve 24psi for example.
And my boost is very steady and works fine. Is it more advantageous to change to closed loop?
Setup is a built 2jz with a 75mm T6 turbo, E8.
