audio input

Postby lampim » Tue Aug 26, 2014 11:30 am

What about the ability to hook a microphone up to the haltech for audio during data logging? you could wear a headset with microphone and anything you say about what's going on, track conditions, weird sounds you heard, a shudder you felt, your AFRs or EGTs you noticed, holding the throttle at a specific point, you name it, you could hear all that back while replaying a datalog. I think this would provide invaluable info if possible.
also if there were multiple channels you could have a co pilot and/or since knock sensors are technically microphones this could allow for knock sensing to be in the data logs as well (if there were audio frequency filters for knock)

It would be useless, because if something goes wrong, you immediately bring in corrections, and the datalog information becomes irrelevant. You won`t make a 2 hour datalog while tuning :D

I think they call that a GoPro. Capture the video as well.
