Engine smotheness/cyl syncronisation

Hey guys,

Would it be possible to analyse crank position derivative to get the engine smotheness over two cycles and which cylinder makes the most or the less power? I would like to use this feature to syncronise cylinders to run smoth and balanced.

It doesn't work this way. Most engine cycles are not exactly uniform in the way fuel is distributed in the cylinder. It is part of the reason why larger cams sound so uneven, it just makes it more pronounced.

Nice idea though! Have you tried logging RPM-Derivative at the highest rate to the internal memory logging. You will most likely see it is not as consistent as you would expect.
