Hi guys,

Just had my car come back from tuner.

I had asked them to update the firmware on the PS1000 so as to enable flex fuel sensor functionality.

At this point I only want to use it to read % on the IQ3 dash.

My firmware says it is at 1.05 when I connect to ECU. It doesn't look to me like they updated the firmware as this is the firmware that was in it. Only thing it told me was that programming changes had been made. Which is right since they had the car on the dyno.

Is this right? What firmware revsion should it have?

The workshop claims they sent the ECU to Haltech to be updated but this doesn't sound right either.

Is it worth me giving you guys the serial number of the ECU?

HELP!

Cheers, Dan

Thanks for the quick response Matt.

Understand the need to go through update process (which I've seen procedure for on forum) to get from 1.05 to 1.13.

I understand the importance of checking for any unwanted changes in the map after an update. Is it common for anything to change in original map after an update?

Is there a program available that can compare before and after maps to confirm?

What is the latest firmware for the older (non street) Haltech branded IQ3 logger dash?

Cheers, Dan

As you can tell by the numbering there were a considerable amount of updates. No it cant be checked, you just need to go through and eyeball every setting and table.

In all honesty these updates should have been done many years ago as they came out. v1.05 must be 10 years old!

Thanks Matt,

Yes they should. It's been a lonnnnnng project.

In any case, car is running on E85 now and although I'm not using any PS1000 E85 functionality (which may change), id still like to get data like %'s to the dash. Why stuff around with add ons like Zeitronix (which have their place) when a simple firmware update will do it.

I'm really happy with the Haltech product even though it's old now and will continue to play with it.

Any luck with the latest on the IQ3?

I really appreciate this help.

Cheer, Dan

It will display it but only on V2 protocol. If the dash is an older V1 based unit you would need to obtain a CANv2 interface module.
