new manager caused loss of trace and wheel speed sensors

Postby binder » Sat Apr 28, 2012 3:53 am

Ok, so I upgraded to the 1.10 manager and I instantly lost wheel speed sensors. I was set for boost by speed so I would like to get these back.

also, when i check the manager to adjust my tunes I no longer get a trace view. I've tried doing line or block and neither work. I also tried doing someone else's tip by starting trace in another map besides fuel then go to fuel and even then I don't get a trace. This makes tuning very painful.

Is this going to be fixed anytime soon? I know it's about the manager software but I thought it might be specific to my ECU

2003 g35 manual trans.

thanks

Jeff

Jeff, it looks like GamerModZ also lost his wheel speed channels (at least that what he reports in his thread a few down from the top of the list). I know I did not lose those channels (2004.5 G35 5AT). Looks like some CAN packet IDs got lost b/w firmware versions for some of the cars...

Does Hal know? He has steady communication with the engineers so he can probably get this resolved more quickly.

I told hal and he wanted me to call the shop. He fixed the 2003 cam issue that me and rich were having. He logged in and did some work on my car and fixed.

When all that was going down I was getting home at 8pm or later (9pm hal's time) from clinic so I didn't have a chance to call him. I was hoping maybe there was a quick fix on here before i called and took time away from his busy day.

does reverting back to 1.06 firmware instantly fix the issue?

I haven't tried because that would require me to load an old map that is outdated and not built for e85 that i currently run. I guess when i get time i could switch my firmware back and try it. It worked the morning before my switch to 1.10. As soon as the update happened and I went for a drive the speed sensors were gone.

I am waiting on Hal to have an update for me but he is a very busy man.

Any updates known here?

I had just started tuing the ignition trim tables for traction control. I called Hal about new firmware for IO expander support and he updated it and......sigh......lost wheel speed sensors... lol

No new news on this matter. Since my car drives fine I haven't pressured Hal with it. I figured he would get around to it when he has a chance.
