Base ignition timing setup issue urgent

Postby Screma » Tue Nov 08, 2016 5:49 pm

Hi all. I went and set my base ignition timing on my engine. I done all as i should have except i set it on cylinder 4. I never attempted to start the engine and before realising what i had done and hooked the timing light up to cylinder 1 to do it again. I locked the timing to 0 deg again and to my surprise it was spot on without any adjustment??? Does this sound right? Not sure.

I am going to be very frank.

If you are runing a 4-cylinder, then you maybe need to read up on how a 4-stroke piston engine works to understand why this was not a problem. 8)
