Assembling ecu plugs

I seem to be having a very hard time assembling these plugs, is there a trick to it im not aware of?

Use your fingernail to slide the white lock on the plug, it should move a couple millimeters and click. Then you can slide the terminals in through the rubber seal. Once they are pushed all the way in, simply slide the white lock back over.

The other point is that the superseal 1.0 pins are finicky to get right. And if the insulation grip is not crimped pretty much perfectly you will have trouble getting the pin through the backshell.

The proper crimp tool for these pins is expensive.
