Phase sensor

Postby nostalgiamatt » Wed Nov 15, 2017 1:40 am

I am looking at installing an Elite 1000 ECU into a Fiat Punto GT, and want to run direct fire ignition and sequential injection.

These engines currently run a crank sensor, and then a phase sensor instead of a camshaft sensor with the bosch motronic M2.7 ECU setup.
The phase sensor is positioned where the distributor would have been on the earlier fiat SOHC engines.

Will I be able to run the existing crank and phase sensors with the Elite 1000 and be able to achieve the direct fire ignition and sequential injection?

Thanks , Matt.

Just a different name for the same thing. Tomayto Tomarto :D
The phase sensor will wire to the Home input and you will be good to go.

On PS1000 I just changed the firing sequence to 4-2-1-3
else rotate the sensor 180 deg and leave the sequence 1-3-4-2

Elite may have more options and maybe you can just give an offset or something like that...

Add 60 to the tooth offset and it will shift everything by 1x crank revolution. Elite you just change the TDC Offset by 360.
