2500 to rem comm fault

Postby 6t6mustang » Fri Jan 26, 2018 1:55 pm

It probably something i did, but after getting system online, and enabling the rem in the software, it just says "searching", it sees the wideband controller plugged into the can hub but no rem.
Network is like this..
Can hub is plugged into aux port in 2500, first plug on left, wide band is second port, racepack is in third port, fourth port open. Haltech can is on auxillary in software. Vehicle can is none. Premade harness bbc. The 2500 and rem seem to be connected via hardwire at the main can plug near the ecu connectors. Nothing is plugged into that plug. Rem powers on, blue light on front key on.
Yes i am new to haltech.. searched but didnt find any answers, thanks..

The REM needs to be on the CAN bus as well.

Yes, it is throwing a "u" code for can network. Does anyone know why it isnt on the network? Only thing i can think of is switching the can setup to main port and plugging cord into can plug on harness but the ecu and rem seem to be hardwired to eachother as far as can wires go?

If the harness you have has B23 and B24 tied together between the REM and the 2500, then you will need to rewire those connections into the CAN hub instead of a direct link between the boxes. As a test, switch your 2500 to the Haltech CAN over the main connectors, and see if the REM shows up, but loses the wideband and racepak.

So, switched the can bus hub to the main connector and switched software to main and it linked up, thanks
