New to Elite 550 questions

Postby jaysix » Wed Sep 05, 2018 5:22 am

The Haltech I've been using is the E6X. So, now switching to the Elite is a big jump in learning just to get it set up.

First, why are there no base maps for the FC3S chassis?

Second,
FC3S 13B Turbo
I'm planning to use the LS coils and am wanting to be sure about wiring and setting them up correctly. With the old e6x the leading is tied together off ign1 output then the 2 trailing coils are on ign2 and ign3.
Is the Elite 550 able to do direct fire for all 4 coils on a rotary? How is this setup in the software to do this? I'm ok with leading being wasted spark if necessary.

There are no base maps dedicated for the stock FC because the OEM coils are not supported on the Elite ECU range. Going to direct Fire is not problem and the 550 will do that.

IGN1 to Lead1
IGN2 to Lead2
IGN3 to Trail1
IGN4 to Trail2

Injectors go the same way. Pri1,Pri2,Sec1Sec2.

You can use any of the FD maps and change it to Direct Fire as a starting point. Secondary injectors you will need to change to match what you have too.
