Elite 1500, CAN bus for Aim Evo4 logger

Postby Racer12ca » Mon Oct 22, 2018 1:04 pm

Hello, I'm trying to setup my elite 1500 to talk to my AIM Evo4 logger using the Aux CAN bus port on the ECU. Currently I have a wideband controller running into the Main harness CAN Bus connector and enabled on the Haltech Bus. I Have been trying to use the Aux output on the vehicle bus allocation to talk to the AIM Evo4. However I don't believe that the vehicle can bus is outputting Haltech CANv2, which the AIM Evo4 is looking for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have done this exact setup. You need a CAN hub and put the Elite, WB, and Evo4S all on the same Haltech CAN bus. The vehicle-specific bus is for interfacing into those specific vehicles for driving factory instrument panels and controls.

You got it. We do not send out the same info on two buses. One is for Haltech CAN and one is for vehicle CAN. You need a hub to share the Haltech CAN to two devices.
