Software Bug in 2.22 and 2.23??

Postby Flat_Rate » Sat May 06, 2017 2:15 am

Oil pressure sensor diagnostics tab for P0521 cut off..

I sometimes have been randomly getting a DTC for it as well, but unable to see any settings in the software. Older versions seem to work.

No bug.

Its now in tables near the bottom under "Oil System" because it is 3D mappable rather than just a setting. Not labelled clearly , I know, but it is there and it even caught me out the first time I used it.

There is a min rpm setting as well as a delay to prevent this on startup.

Did you end up fixing the issue? Because I just recently got an Oil Pressure sensor fitted with my Elite 2500 and I thought I was in serious trouble because the car had troubles starting up, then when it did, it couldnt idle (tuner set max RPM at 800 for level 3 warning) BUT luckily I took the keys out let it set for about 30 seconds and the car started again.

Got home, plugged in the laptop and sure enough the DTC "P0521 Oil Pressure Sensor Operating" came up. I 'erased' the code and car seems to be all good... for now...

Can you explain exactly what all settings for the oil pressure dtc means?

I’m also triggering oil pressure dtc on first startup because it’s no oil in the pump first second.

I have put the delay in 1000ms, but it does not help.

And I want it to be active on idle rpm say 800.

The settings that relate to “before performing test” does it mean that I can put it on 2000rpm and the rpm must then go over this before the dtc is active? Or is the dtc disabled below this value?

If you have no oil pressure on startup then you cant currently set the activation at such a low RPM or you are tripping it off. It is meant to be set for normal driving and I don't normally set it to trip on engines until you are at an RPM where you will damage the engine, so around 2000 - 2500 rpm, or if the TPS if greater than 1% so it does not trip when you are not trying to rev the engine.
