Elite 2500 Generic Output problems

Postby redcycle13 » Sun Aug 27, 2017 9:42 am

I have an Elite 2500 with can expansion hub and I/O expander. I'm using two generic outputs to trigger relays for two additional fuel pumps. The outputs are DPO1 and DPO2 on the I/O expander.

The problem is I can not get the relays to trigger correctly. I set the Signal Type to State, Mode to conditions, then I selected the conditions as greater than or equal to 3psi, but this results in the relays clicking on an off constantly. I've tried playing with almost all settings, and I can not seem to get the relays to come on continuously when the conditions are met, and go off when they are not met. Any help or areas to start with trouble shooting would be great. Thanks.

Post your map and we can take a look at it.

Do they click on and off to a pattern? Or is it just random?

I would love to post attachments or pictures, but I cant seem to figure out how to do either on this forum. I read in the FAQ's I need to ask an administrator for permission to post attachments.

For some reason you can't directly attach maps to posts, you need to ZIP them or at minimum, change the file extension. Not sure why they don't just allow map files directly, but it is what it is...

After speaking with tech support they informed me of a known issue with the I/O expander DPO's cycling on and off incorrectly. They advised a software update 2.24 would be released soon to correct the issue.

I can confirm the latest firmware upgrade resolved the DPO switching issue. Firmware 2.24

The update did not show up in the ESP online, but tech support emailed the firmware and definitions files for 2.24.

Thanks for the help.
