Smoother Decel - A solution.

Personally I found the elites Decel fuel cut unnecessarily harsh.
So I found a way to get it much smoother if anybody is interested.
Naturally your required values may differ, but it worked an absolute treat on my car.
Love how flexible the E2500 is!

Although I'd kill for filtering levels for the AVI channels (Like oil temp)

Just a note that clutch switch is now an input to control decel fuel cut. It will prevent fuel cut if the clutch is engaged, makes gear changes smoother.

More retard usually does the trick to smooth it, together with the throttle follower to ease the transition from open to closed throttle.

I'll give it a try again :)
I've got the stock ECU controlling the DBW, so can't use the follower. It was more about the instantaneous cutting of fuel before the retard could even occur. The elite according to the data-logs cut fuel immediately and then retard timing ready for resume.

It's in a recent firmware update, called dashpot if I recall.

It allows the idle system to be used to smooth the transition of engine torque when you lift off the throttle. Acts like a mechanical dashpot, but you have complete mapping control. Also helps control engine braking.

Well done on the improvements :)

Just be sure to set your delay time to something higher than the throttle follower timer.
