ESP 2.00.24 Displays Dimmed
ESP 2.00.24 Displays Dimmed
Except for the tables, the rest of the display boxes on 3 different computers, all with ESP downloaded separately by way of ESP Online Upgrade, are greyed when a log is played back offline.
1. Start ESP
2. Load a tune file (I tried various files from various times and various firmware versions)
3. Load a datalog (can be one made with 2.21 firmware or earlier)
On playback the values of the log are loaded in the boxes and playback, but the box displays are dimmed, the same as if no log was loaded. A list box is unreadable, the channels and values are so dim.
I tried removing ESP version 2.00.24 and installed an earlier version and the displays are normal on playback. Reinstalled version 2.00.24 and the dimmed display returns.
Anyone else seeing this?

Re: ESP 2.00.24 Displays Dimmed
Just followed your steps and it looks completely normal to me with v2.00.24
Re: ESP 2.00.24 Displays Dimmed
Thanks for giving it a try.
The dimming persists.
For me, if ESP has been connected and is not shut down prior to loading an external log file, the display is normal.
If ESP has not been connected and a log is loaded, the displays stay dimmed. This happens whether from a cold boot or loading ESP after other computer use.
If I connect, disconnect, quit ESP then reload ESP, load a tune file and playback a log, the displays remain dimmed. So it appears nothing is left behind when ESP is unloaded and reloaded.
2-12 I subsequently removed v2.00.24, loaded v2.00.23 and it works as before with bright display on playback of a log file. It appears something changed in the code in v2.00.24!

Re: ESP 2.00.24 Displays Dimmed
What windows version and 32 or 64 bit? I will have one of the software guys here take a look.
Re: ESP 2.00.24 Displays Dimmed
I have two laptops and a desktop with windows 32 and a laptop with windows 64, they all do the same dimming.
I tried v2.00.25 of software on the 64 bit machine and it did the same dim display. V2.00.23 is bright. Logs are recorded using V2.00.23

Re: ESP 2.00.24 Displays Dimmed
Got a screenshot?
Re: ESP 2.00.24 Displays Dimmed
Screen shot attached. Taken on a Dell Latitude 6420 64bit machine.
Tune file and datalog recorded on firmware v2.21. Since the display is dimmed to view the datalogs, I elected to not upgrade the firmware. I initially upgraded the firmware but backed down the version so I could use ESP 2.00.23.
I installed ESP 2.00.25 just to take the screenshot but am not using it otherwise.
Three other 32bit computers display dimmed also.

Re: ESP 2.00.24 Displays Dimmed
I have the same problem when I check logs on screen it s all greyed out
Re: ESP 2.00.24 Displays Dimmed
This must be a forgotten (or round file) topic. I downloaded and installed v2.00.26 and it's no different than 2.00.24 or 2.00.25. Display when a log is loaded looks same with no log. V2.00.23 is ok. I attached my sample files on March 25. Should be an easy find to solve.
Re: ESP 2.00.24 Displays Dimmed
Hi guys, did you by any chance see a stability report pop up during any of this? If so, may I please trouble you to save the stability report locally on your computer and upload it?
Re: ESP 2.00.24 Displays Dimmed
I loaded v2.00.26 on a Windows 10 machine, brought ESP up, loaded my most recent log and got a Stability report attached.

Re: ESP 2.00.24 Displays Dimmed
Thanks! This should be taken care of in the next version of ESP. Please accept our apologies for not tending to this sooner.
