Elite 750 VW Base Map

Postby Turbo69Bug » Thu Jun 08, 2017 2:00 pm

Hi All,
Just about finished the upgrade from E6A to Elite 750 but will soon have to get the old girl fired up. Trouble is I have no way to get the old maps from the E6A or the .......floppy disc...... they are stored on, to use as a comparison.
It is a pretty simple setup but any suggestions for a Base Map?
Engine is -
Air Cooled VW
Turbo 4 Cyl 2178cc
Electronic Dizzy with Single Coil and Bosch Igniter
TPS
MAP

Thanks in advance

It is not a fixed common set of hardware for anyone to have a specific base map. Firing it up is something any tuner should be able to do for you and if it takes them more than 5 minutes you need to go somewhere else.

You can manually copy over the settings from your old E6A to get it going yourself though. The terminology is similar.

Thanks Matt.

I am more looking to just get the car started to check everything is working and nothing is leaking before sending to the tuner.

Howdy! What solution did you came up with to compare the maps?

I actually didn't, I just started again.
As Matt said, once I got the ESP set up with all of the engine specs it was enough to get it started and drive-able.
I just have to figure out why it is firing 180 degrees out though. That was an unexpected headache which had me thinking for a while. Moving the leads around the cap was the short term solution to that though.
