Re: Nexus PDM setup

Yes I've used 2 power outputs on the same circuit. I even used 2 - 25amp outputs to run 2 fans combined. I've used 2 - 8amp circuits to run my Walbro fuel pump. It's maximum amp requirement is right at 12amps and I didn't have a spare 25amp output to use. It has worked fine using the 2 - 8amp circui...

Re: IC-7 custom sensor calibration glitches?

I had no problem doing a custom calibration for my Fox Mustang. Maybe reload the software or keep trying.

It's been months since I did this but I do remember there is a proper sequence to go thru and save otherwise yes, it goes back to some default setting.

Re: Fuse current vs pin current rating

I don't know what Haltech's official response will be to combining outputs but I've got 2 sets of 8A HCO circuits paired together and 1 set of 25A HCO circuits paired together. Has not been a problem doing this for me.

NEXUS Problems

Be aware that while using the hard line USB communication cable many strange things can happen. One in particular has happened to me several time before I realized have the cable connected was causing the problem. While making a pass with the comm cable hooked up, just past the 1/8 mile point the ca...

Re: NEXUS Datalogs

You can't delete them. The old logs stay there until they are written over by new ones. What are your logging conditions set at? You might be inadvertently recording short logs every time you key on. You could make it RPM > 100 or something so it records when you start the engine. The setting is th...

NEXUS Datalogs

So far I've not figured out how to delete old datalog files the NEXUS is keeping in it's memory and no one has told me how to do so. Right now my NEXUS seems to have a glitch and sometimes it makes and saves a file just by me turning on the ignition switch. As a result it has over 900 files in it's ...

Datalog Viewer Problem

I am posting this in the NEXUS section because I never had this problem with any of the previous Haltech ECU datalogs. On a regular basis when I add a new NEWUS datalog to the Datalog Viewer, it will bring it in okay but when you click on any of the data items to see them in the viewer nothing happe...

Re: Ic7 how to setup

The dash gets the rpm and speed info from the ECU thru the communication cable. The RPM is simple, just choose the channel and how you want it displayed. For speed, you have to have an electronic signal (pulse) to the ECU and calibrate it for your speed. If you have an older mechanical cable type sp...

Re: Displaying Generic Sensor Info

Another way around it for temperatures are to use an EGT channel and use the analogue input option. Either way is awkward though.

Re: Thermofan question

I've run into the same problem, wanting to have another axis variable to control the fans while using the thermo fan function. I honestly don't understand why they don't have the option for a 2nd or even a 3rd axis. In my case I want to turn my fans off while making a pass down the track since the c...

Displaying Generic Sensor Info

When I try to select a generic channel being used for a sensor, the only option for units is "%" which obviously makes no sense if you're trying to display temperature or pressure. Basically this means any temperature/pressure on a generic channel is unable to be displayed on the iC-7 dash...
