Re: Elite 2500 wiring question

If you don't want to use DPO6 to control power, you can simply supply switched 12v to pin 26. DPO6 cannot be repurposed, however. The earliest firmware versions allowed this but the latest ones do not. No idea why Haltech won't allow it to be reconfigured.

Re: Bump vs Creep or both?

Your trans brake SSR would be pulsed while you hold the button, allowing the car to creep forward. So it will do both, if you have it setup correctly.

Re: Connect 2 DPO:s to same device?

You can do as you describe or, if the pump module can accept 100% duty input, you can simply wire your switch to ground (for PWM-) or 12V (for PWM+) and not use up a DPO. Some modules won't work with 100% duty though, so you may not be able to do what you're wanting to do at all. We've been using th...

Re: Elite 2500 on 4 rotor, what do i need for ignition?

I recommend the IGN-1A for most all setups. But 40 psi on methanol on a rotary will want CDI. It has nothing to do with the ECU being capable. It's about meeting the demands you're placing on your ignition system.

40psi and methanol you'll want a CDI setup. M&W is usually the best option. Their box and coils would be a great combo.

Re: Why torque management function need REM?

The update is listed for the 2500 is $1420. So send your 2500 in and pay the update fee and you'll have the new torque management available. If you're buying a new ECU, the cost of the 2500 with torque management is $1373 over the cost of the 2500 without. The REM, if you want to go that route is $2...

Re: Why torque management function need REM?

You don't need the REM. The 2500 is supposed to be available with the Torque Management update when it's released. It's still a $1373 upgrade over the normal 2500.

Re: Sport 1000 I/O questions

You can switch the fans as you describe. Simply connect the 2nd fan to one of the unused DPO and select thermofan 2 switch and you'll be able to program the individual on/off temps. Your Dynatek boxes should just be switched on/off with the ignition key. No need to use ECU DPO to activate them. Do y...

Re: Rx7 sensors and thread types

For manifold pressure, have they decided to use the internal MAP sensor? That's one option. Other than that, install the MAP sensor you have and wire it in. Fuel pressure can usually be installed on the regulator, if you have one. Many of them have 1/8" NPT ports, which is probably the thread y...

Re: Traction control strategy. Which sensors are most useful?

I prefer yaw rate, though they all have their place. Steering angle is tough because 1) the ECU doesn't know if you're in steering into lock or opposite lock. So how in control are you actually? And 2), what if you're a complete hamfisted driver and haven't even begun to make a steering correction? ...
