Re: Anyone here using Mass Air with their Haltech?

On advice by HaltechMatt, the load for both fuel and ignition are on a gm/cyl basis.

A logged trace at WOT will form a curve that is of the same shape as the engine torque curve. This could help setting up ignition advance and fuel AF target tables.

Re: my brushless thermofan wants a pwm+ signal, what do i do?

Wouldn't assigning the thermofan as a Digital Duty Cycle work? The Elite outputs a pwm signal. I use this method to control a Ford Fusion fan controller for variable speed, soft start operation. Output frequency is 100 hz.

Re: Oil and coolant temperature senors

I don't see why not. Change the axis in the fuel coolant temperature correction to read the oil temperature instead of coolant. Then adjust the table values because the oil takes longer to warm up than coolant would or else it would take too long for the compensation to go to zero. There are post st...

Re: First start EZ30 with elite 2500 engine starts then immediately stops

A full engine cycle is 720 degrees of crankshaft rotation. The missing tooth (teeth) pass the crank sensor twice per engine cycle. The cam sensor signal resets the firing order and upon the missing tooth passing the crank trigger sensor, the firing order begins again at the first cylinder in the fir...

Re: Anyone here using Mass Air with their Haltech?

Yes I do on a ITB intake BMW engine. I live at altitude and climb passes up and periodically down close to sea level. I tried at least 4 other ECUs using speed density and non would work. Using a MAF is simple but you need a good calibration curve for the MAF you selected. Then the base fuel table i...

Re: Nissan Skyline R34 RB25DET cold start idle issue

Suggestion. Save the map under a new name so the existing map is preserved. Observations: It fires on a 25ms pulse then dies as soon as the injection pulse drops to about 3.6ms. The 25ms pulse is on the cranking table. Increase max cranking speed in settings from 380 to about 600 rpm so it runs on t...

Re: Is there a professional wiring diagram for Elite Series

This isn't going to improve the wiring diagram, but there is a detailed diagram in the help file called 'Fuse Block Wiring Diagram". Search for it and select the 2000/2500 wiring diagram and it will be listed in the rt hand window. That's the only way I've been able to determine the fuse block ...

Re: rb26 HKS V Cam

For MAFs, you will need the calibration data, i.e. mass air flow vs voltage output of the MAF. Haltech does not have this info. The actual calibration once installed is affected by the intake air plumbing arrangement. The fuel map begins at all 1.000 and then auto tuned.

Download ESP programming software and start a new tune file for the 550 and it will reveal the available features. Do same for 750 to compare. ESP has the latest info.

Re: 0-5volt wideband input

Carefully refer to the AEM instruction sheet. Some models of AEM wideband controllers require a ground connected to the ECU and some only require 1 wire. I had a model that needed only the signal wire, a friend was having trouble until he re-read the AEM instructions for his model and it required a ...
