Re: LQ9 Coils with Haltech (2JZ)

Exactly what are you saying by: "Power from the Haltech to the red +12 wire on the LQ9 harness" because power to drive a coil should come from the battery thru relays, etc. not from the ECU.

Re: Need help!, It dosnt start up

Your screen shows that you have selected the Main Connector. That's if you are wiring the can cable, not the supplied cable. You are using the Aux CAN port with the cable. Under "Haltech Can System" bus port choose "Aux CAN Bus Port". The click the button for "Haltech CAN su...

Have you contacted Haltech directly to see if there is one on the shelf.

Re: Hall Effect Crank Trigger Resistor?

No resistor required.
Are you getting rpm?
If the Elite is using the Nexus software, the oscilloscope could be used to display the signal.

DCMD DC Motor Driver

Anyone using or thinking of using the recently released motor driver for something other than a boost solenoid valve powering? I would like to use it for variable speed coolant fan control but the DCMD output seems wimpy. My fan is rated at 15amps full speed. The solid state relays are the wrong fre...

Yes, read the help topic. It's clearly stated in there.

Re: Trigger System Error? (Noob Question)

There can be a trigger error when the engine first cranks, but if the rpm is displayed stable and no further trigger errors accumulate, the trigger sensor should be ok.

Are you using inlet camshaft angle control? If you are then "InCam1Ang" is referring to the cam angle setup.

Do you get rpm when the engine is cranked? If not then fix the crankshaft position sensor.

Re: elite 750 with r8 ignition coils

Don't know where you got your wiring info from so here is how to connect. Looking into the connector on the coil, the terminal pin 1 is at the rectangular side. pin 1 is +12V, pin 2 is power ground, pin 3 is signal from ECU, pin 4 is signal ground. Power ground and signal ground goes to the head per...

Re: Direct fire wiring for wasted spark.

Currently its running in wasted spark off the factory ecu anyway so the drive-ability shouldn't be much different! You may see a slight change in fuel tune if the injector dead time is not right on but will not be significant. Reason - with semi sequential, dead time is applied to the effective inj...

Re: Direct fire wiring for wasted spark.

You could try wiring as sequential fuel/direct fire ignition and check the quick start box. Then set the homeminimum rpm for the cam sensor to something ridiculously high like 9000 rpm. When quick start is selected, the engine starts in waste spark and remains in waste spark until the minimum rpm fo...

Re: Suzuki G16B Triggering

Crankshaft trigger (crankshaft position) is independent of the firing mode. If spark and injection are not sequential then no cam sensor is needed.

I believe in the platinum series on this board there are posts explaining how to determine the dead time by testing on the car. Search for it.

Re: IAT question on Evo 4

I would have provided a response but I am not familiar with your car model nor the MAF. So my comments assume you are doing some research not just relying on plug and play. From your description, it appears the MAF has an integral air temperature sensor. IATs are a simple resistor that varies with t...

I don't know why I have Wideband selections and you do not. My software version is 1,9.8. I looked again and I do not have a Lambda selection. So I am not of any help. You may have to give Haltech a call if you can.
