Re: 12v dpo trigger for thermofan

To high side drive the output set both drive and state to High and you will be good to go.

They are 36-1, but yes pick the Barra trigger type.
Reluctor sensors with Falling edge. Home needs Level 2 Filter and the Ground Enabled. TDC Offset should be 410.

Re: VVT control issues

It is with a custom trigger, and sometimes this is needed for certain application where Hall sensors dont pull low enough to trigger the low side. Rare, but it is out there so we do give the option to solve it for those particular applications. For this application there is an issue with the crank s...

Re: Unstable / Noisy crank signal

Nice work with the scope traces, it is good to see you are really putting in the effort here! It is looking that way with a sensor issue. The first image shows how it should be, the others looks wrong. Just make sure you are not using filters or it will round off the edges of the signal. Just a note...

Re: 12v dpo trigger for thermofan

It wont load the relay enough, it only has 12V on a 1k pullup so it wont have enough current to do the job. Stepper outputs can be set to high side drive.

Re: VVT control issues

Hall Effect sensors dont have the voltage tables because they do not need to be normally mapped over RPM like a Reluctor sensor would.

Re: S13 sr20det Iat wiring help

Use a spare AVI (usually AVI 7) and Sensor Ground. The IAT sensor is pre-assigned to this in the base maps. The location of these pins is in the Quick Start Guide for the adapter. If you are extra lazy, and most of us are, you can re-purpose the MAF wires. Grab signal and ground and run to your IAT ...

What can I say but that RPM signal is horrible!

Do you have any photos of the crank and cam tooth patterns?

Re: MAF tuning discussion.

Always IPD and for a non-pressure referenced system this would need to be there to maintain correct fuel flow prediction. But you can just map it over MAP for the flow. Even guessing it is better than doing nothing.

Re: MAF tuning discussion.

The filter idea map work. Worth a shot. I manually do my air temp corrections, but I do use the CAT channel. In the end it is only a best guess and will always need a little tweaking, but if you are within 2% you are close enough. Current you can only control the duration with the Load Acceleration ...

Re: Wrong impedance setting, High VE numbers? Adverse effect?

Dead times have almost no effect under high load so rule this out altogether.

It should be set to High to drive High impedance injector, even when paired.

Re: Data Logger wont boot up after Windows update

Any of them will work. v1.1.1.0 was the last version created for the Platinum series but v1.1.1.1 and the new v1.2 will all work with all Platinum and Elite.

Re: MAF tuning discussion.

Go full throttle and hold it there at that RPM, usually on a dyno. Set the Max so it is a tiny amount over what you are seeing as your flow at stable full throttle. Many OEMs do it the same way, and you are pretty much seeing a spring effect on the air passing through the sensor.

Re: map referenced regulator tune offset

Use a fuel pressure sensor and map the injector flow over injector pressure differential. Any delays in FPR response are then covered.
