Re: At a total loss.

Some of these might be stating the obvious, but I would rather state the obvious than overlook a possible issue. Have you set the overall timing on the ECU by locating TDC on #1, locking the timing at a certain place, putting a timing light on it to verify the overall timing is correct? Have you con...

Re: Engine protection reset switch?

How about a dimmer bulb? :D I'll tell you what they may not. They have X amount of employees in various capacities within their company. They are tasked with a large number of updates for existing product as well as working on new, innovative products. It's a delicate balance and a constant struggle...

Re: Auxiliary Rev Limiter

I'm guessing that you could create a table with varying limit RPM's and 3D map it against your transbrake switch where it places you in a different part of the map while on the brake and therefore a separately programmable RPM. I've got one set up with a timer on the release of the transbrake to ram...

No newer updates are found in ESP

You're referring to Software, not Firmware.

The software will be updated as needed, but until you see it change, you can bet it will be compatible with the firmware updates as they arrive.

Re: Low vacuum V8 race engine, possible with the Elite?

My last engine had low vacuum, but not that low. With that motor, you will need to go to an open loop fueling and spark map. No biggie. It's build in here. If overlap is affecting wideband readings, you can discover it by adjusting fuel and spark for maximum idle stability and vacuum with your open ...

All of the sudden ESP won't open. Latest 2.00.5

So I am in a Haltech seminar and trying to open the latest ESP, which I've been using since its release. It wouldn't allow me to forward the report, but it would allow me to view the report so I could copy and paste it and email it later. I opened the report and the gist of it is talking about the I...

Not sure where you got version 2.00.6, but I can't open your file since the latest in their website is 2.00.5

Re: 2500 Elite allow for time alignment of crank and cam?

Thanks Dale. I would love to see what your reluctor tool looks like. I bought the Goodson tool for my LSX cranks. I hate that I have so much trouble relying on people and get continuously let down. Thank God I have a great machine shop. I can't afford to buy my own machines and space to put them. Ex...

Re: Main RPM Limiter Set Up

Have you tried ignition as opposed to injection? I personally would prefer ignition over injection on any engine, but especially one with a power adder.

Re: Allowing Fuel Trims + and - everywhere but WOT

The answer for everyone else is: The fuel trims zero'd out at part throttle in boost due to transient throttle settings. The STFT values deviated from commanded lambda due to the target oscillation being something other than 0. Target oscillation is for creating swings above and below your target to...

This seems to be the answer to the issue entirely. Thanks Haltech for supporting me through this. You saved me a lot of time with your advice.

2500 Elite allow for time alignment of crank and cam?

Thanks to the Haltech team for their help with this issue behind the scenes. On my LS motor, with their help, I discovered that my reluctor wheel is off by 18°. I thought I was good by trying to compensate for it by adjusting the trigger offset. If I understand correctly, it caused the P0373 code th...

Re: Allowing Fuel Trims + and - everywhere but WOT

Matthew, the reason is: I've got a log where my motor is lean and short terms are negative. Looking at it frame by frame, I'm seeing the trims moving more negative with my widebands showing leaner and leaner. It's not acceptable and until I get my head around why, I wanted to take its ability to pul...

Allowing Fuel Trims + and - everywhere but WOT

I know it's possible to program fuel trims, both short and long to only allow them to go one direction if desired. That's in the function setup pages. What i would like to do is set it up to where the ECU can enrich or disenrich when not in boost and only enrich while in the boosted region. I wrote ...
