Re: DBW idle control, rpm dips below idle speed on transit to idle

Hi guys, bit of a thread bump! I have EXACTLY the same problem on my LS3 480 crate motor (hot cam), Car drives quite nice (for a base map) and ive done a few miles now. When the car is fully warmed (does not do it when cold), if im driving and coming to say a junction, or roundabout on overrun, onc...

Re: Octane number sensor

So you are going with any fuel available, you can map for 95 octane and could have the knock sensor and knock control retard timing to suit. And via the long term trim and long tern ignition restore, ignition advance and retard would manage itself between 91 and 98 octane. But since the Elite 750 c...

Re: Octane number sensor

What car do you have, if it has a knock sensor you can map the Elite for you specific fuel in your area. If it doesn't, it can be fitted with one. Only single connector ECUs aren't capable of knock control. Engine is 1fzfe, Toyota landcruiser. Elite 750. Plan to use 98, 95, and 91 octane or any com...

Octane number sensor

Hello everyone,
Is there a sensor that I can incorporate in the fuel delivery line to read octane number of fuel. I wish to feed this to the ecu.
Thanks.

Matthew, there are no spare DPO, AVI that I can wire my Nitrous components to. This Haltech ECU replaces the factory ECU and plugs in directly into the factory connector.

Can I operate a Nitrous using Pro Plugin for Nissan Patrol Y61

Hello everyone,

I have a Pro Plugin for Nissan Patrol Y61. Is there a way to operate a nitrous selenoid with this ECU. The ECU plugs in directly onto the factory harness.

thanks,

Re: thermo switching

Not on an E11. You could use a second output and a relay controlled over RPM to control the switching of the main relay. Complicated, but it will solve it. Is this feature added in Elite series? We wanted fans to operate only after engine has started running. So they don't draw currents during cran...

Re: Elite 750 & 2jzgte igniter

Update: The Elite is not reporting any change in count for home, no matter what we do. We even tried giving it the crank/trigger signal but it stays zero (0). Any update? hope you get the engine started. Did you try to start with zero filtering for RPM, trigger and home? I noticed you have filterin...

Re: Truck coil grounding with Elite 1500

Hello, I am setting up D581 truck coils with my Elite 1500. These coils use 2 ground pins, one is listed as pcm ground the other as chassis ground. Should it be grounded: Option#1 to ecu sensor ground with the other to chassis/ engine block, Option#2 both to chassis/ engine block, or Option#3 both ...

i have a 24x-1x
i used an aftermarket balancer with timing marks and set up a mightmouse pointer, used a dial indicator for top dead center.
ended up at 711.0 TDC

Thanks,
What brand of dial indicator you used.

Because I always get different TDC marks on every attempt. small differences that makes me suspicious.

LS3 with no timing marks, TDC offset angle

The late model LS3 with trigger 58X, 4X. has no timing marks to check timing sync. I just want to know what TDC offset angle others are using. In the maps from Haltech it is 441 deg and I have had an engine runs fine with that.
Finding TDC using piston stop tool may not be accurate enough.
