Re: E6x firmware update.

Are you referring to the multiplier in the throttle pump settings?

Re: E6x firmware update.

I believe the firmware can only be user updated on the E8.

The E6X will run sequential injection and waste spark ignition on a 4 cylinder engine.

Re: E6X with IGN 1A Coils Compatability

Make sure you have the right spark edge setting. Either rising or falling. The wrong one will fry your coils in short order. Ask me how I know that...

That looks like the original RA-8 reluctor adapter! Pretty cool find!

Re: fuel cut on decel stops working after driving

I had this issue as well once upon a time. Recalibrate your TPS. Zero it out with the pedal just slightly depressed so the TPS signal shows about 0.1%-0.2%. My car was calibrated to 0 but when the engine was running the vibration induced a 0.1% signal on the sensor, so re-calibrating it was the solu...

Re: Help!! Looking for older style Haltech TPS

Not sure if it's the one you're looking for, but I've got one of the original TPS units still in its bag that came with my E6X. It does have a terminated end, I'd guess the wires are about 4" long. Let me know if you're interested.

Re: E6X comm problems

Do a continuity check from the DB9 plug to the ECU harness plug. There's only 3 wires used on the DB9 plug, 2,3, and 5 if I remember. I think they go to something like pins 8.9, and 26 on the Haltech harness respectively. I was having the same problem and was able to trace it down to a broken wire. ...

Conflicting Information in E6X manual - sequential setup

My car (Mazda Protege / 323 / Sport20) with FS engine. It has a motronic 36-1 crank wheel +1 home on the cam. Running (or attempting to) sequential fuel injection plus 2 waste spark ignition outputs on my E6X. I am running a RA-10 as well and all signals are very clean. With regards to wiring the in...

I use the RA-10 with my E6-X. Works great. The RA instructions explain how to hook it up.

Re: Tooth Offest Help

That exhaust sproket is from a Mazda 626. I still have my stock Protege sproket with the three pickups that I can drill the two out and leave just the one by the "I".

Re: 36-1 plus cam synch

Can you please share more details on this? You did in fact wire the INJ1 channel to your cars injector 3? Where does your home signal occur in relation to TDC and the Trigger signal?

Re: Tooth Offest Help

If the home MUST occur BEFORE the trigger event , then I'll have to devise something else, but if the home can occur AFTER the trigger event, but BEFORE TDC, I can simply rotate that exhaust cam gear so that in the picture above, the home would have already occured.

Re: Tooth Offest Help

Thanks John, so, I guess my main question is does the home signal HAVE to occur on the #1 compression stroke, somewhere before tdc? As I stated before, with a tooth offset Of 3, and a trigger angle of 50*, my timing is bang on. I just want to run a greater trigger angle.
