zf8HP transmission control!

Is Haltech developing the 8 speed transmission control? There are more than 50 vehicles that use this transmission, anything from Audi, BMW, and even the new Toyota supra use a variation of this trans. If I'm not mistaking Haltech already supports the older version (zf6hp) on the barra plug and play...

Doesn't the ECU know this if you use the can based wideband?

Re: Help understanding water/methanol injection with VE tuning

That part is all up to you. But to do this correctly the ECU needs to know when supplementary fuel is being delivered to maintain correct tuning. More a question for AEM. Quick question about this. If I use a fuel flow sensor that output 0-5v and set up the 4D learning and tuning maps using the sen...

Automatic Long/short term trims.

Hi, is it possible for Haltech to give us the option (check box etc.) to set maps such as long term fuel trim to automatically make the changes rather than having to connect the laptop to make them? :D

Ok since his car is NA I can see it working for him and not for a turbocharged car. Do you know if this is on the table of a possible future upgrade?

Is a wideband per cylider possible with elite 2500?

Hi, I saw the new Haltech Video where Matt talks to kamizake and he mentioned that he was running a wideband per cylinder. Is the Elite 2500 capable of running a wideband per cylinder on a turbocharged car? Does it automatically compensate for the pressure behind the turbo? if not will this be avail...

Individual cylinder knock control

Hi, any idea when and if individual cylinder knock control/retard would be available? Ex. if cylinder 3 is knocking the ecu would only retard timing on that particular cylinder. thanks!

Re: Knock Control pre purchase query

Cylinder trimming is on the cards for a future update along with a number of knock control enhancements. They are just busy frying other fish at the moment so I dont have an ETA. That's good to hear. In the meantime data-logging ignition angle for all cylinders along with other parameters should be...

Re: Basic traction control setup / table

Hi Rmr298, The attachment link you provided does not work, can you repost please. Matt; Is there a manual for the Elite series that I can read to help me about this subject. The help in the software only has little. Cheers Give me your E-mail and I'll send it. I tried posting a pic and it tells me ...

Re: Basic traction control setup / table

I personally prefer to set up boost by gear and use traction control for very small changes that might occur (colder day etc.) that would make the car loose a bit of traction. The main reason for doing this is because retarding timing increases your EGT's. Go to boost control strategies and choose t...

Re: Elite VE and FPS questions.

As far as my understanding of your first question, yes, that is exactly how it works. Fuel pressure can be used as an axis to map injector flow rate, yes. It is not automatic by simply enabling a FPS, but it can be configured easily under injector flow configuration. This is a map I have on my own ...

Elite VE and FPS questions.

Does the Elite offers true VE airflow modeling? What I mean is if it calculates the air-mass through the engine under various conditions, then calculates the fuel delivered based on the current calculated air-mass? My next question is if fitted with a fuel pressure sensor, is fuel pressure part of t...

Re: Placement of MAF on forced induction engine

Mount it between the throttle body and intercooler and mount your IAT sensor right after or before the throttle body, don't use the IAT sensor from the MAF.

Re: MAF Load control and Base Fuel Table

After much research I have found the solution for those wanting to run high hp and MAF like I want. http://www.pmas-maf.com/product-category/performance-mafs/blow-thru-style-mafs/ Their HPX-E is their beast MAF and what I will be getting pretty soon. Not only that but there are a few OEM units that ...
