Re: TPS and RPM output required for auto trans

What TCU is it?

The inputs on that transmission will determine the wiring. If the TPS signal to the TCU needs to be a 0-5V analogue signal you obviously can't use a digital output on the ECU for that.

Re: Included IAT Sensor w/ Elite?

I think that sensor is included in the kit because a lot of cars come with MAF meters + air temp sensors integrated into a big air box which you might want to remove for various reasons including: ⋅ needing more room in the engine bay ⋅ aftermarket intakes ⋅ switching t...

Re: IGN-1A coil getting hot key on/engine off

Could this mean I just have a faulty coil pack? Perhaps internally shorted, somehow?

That's what it's starting to sound like to me.

Your test has ruled out the wiring to that coil. It also rules out that ignition output on the ECU.

Re: IGN-1A coil getting hot key on/engine off

Those ignition settings are for every output so I don't think they'd explain one coil pack behaving funny.

I'd be double checking the wiring to that coil in particular. After that, you could check if you get spark from it.

Re: Few questions about the Wideband Controllers.

I phrased that poorly.., not on the Sensor itself... What i want to modify is the harness on the WB Controller. There is no difference. You can add length to the sensor leads, or the controller leads, and you won't affect the readings. I may have a way to make it act like i want it to, but still ne...

Re: Few questions about the Wideband Controllers.

It's okay to have different length leads for O2 sensors.

A WB2 is the same as two WB1s, it's just packaged into one box. They appear as separate O2 sensor readings in the software. I'm not aware of any function that compares O2 readings to show what the cat is doing though.

Re: Traction control "state?"

0 = idle - traction control is enabled and ready to go 1 = armed - ECU has detected loss of traction 2 = active - ECU is limiting power 3 = active - ECU is limiting power 4 = ramp out - ECU is bringing power back to normal 5 = disabled - traction control is off and will not doing anything about loss...

Re: NEXUS Datalogs

You can't delete them. The old logs stay there until they are written over by new ones.

What are your logging conditions set at? You might be inadvertently recording short logs every time you key on. You could make it RPM > 100 or something so it records when you start the engine.

Re: pops and bang

I think these tunes are removing off-throttle fuel cuts and then retarding the timing heaps so mixtures ignite in the exhaust. If I had to try, I would turn off decel fuel cut and then retarding timing in the high rpm cells of the zero demand ignition table. For the cars sake, I'd guess that the les...

Re: Dave's Wideback hack / CAN Ground

For communication, yes, but not to power them. Wideband sensors can draw about 4 amps each so a dual channel box can be expected to draw 8 amps at some points. This is too much current for the ECU to supply through that CAN port.

Re: Help with wiring Hella DBW throttle pedal

Just looked at your photo/reread your post and noticed you've actually got two APP signals from the pedal and have spliced them together for the link. You might want to do this properly by separating them and putting them on APP1 and APP2.

Re: Help with wiring Hella DBW throttle pedal

Here's the wiring diagram for APP in your terminated harness: ls3 wiring.png The three wires you're missing look like the three wires associated with Haltech's second APP signal which has typically been included in DBW systems for redundancy thanks to some sketchy stuff that toyota put into producti...

Re: Oem Honda B18 map calibration

Hi, You have a few options. If you grab the part number of the sensor you might find the calibrations are on the datasheet. You plug those values into the software and test it. Is it a Denso 079800-something? If you can't find the calibrations from the part number you can find it yourself by measuri...
