Re: Trigger Pickup Miscount with Sprint RE

The current version of firmware is 1.09 for your Sprint - Updaing the firmware will not fix this trigger issue however. I suspect a bad crasnk angle sensor (because heat is changing the induced trigger voltage). You could try swapping out to a new crank angle sensor. Alternativly you could use a sco...

Re: Ford Duratec 2.0 Issue

Please make sure you are using an ignition module between the ECU and the coils. If this is the case please draw a basic wiring diagram of ezxactly how the coils are wired and e-mail it to me at [email protected]

Re: want ot run 8 low imp. injectors!

Which ECU do you have ?
You can run 2 low inpedance injectors per wire.
What is the engine/injector setup ?

You have a programmable engine management system - No need for the Hobbs switch!

Re: ps2000 hpi 6 spark problems

The engine retarding when you rev it with the timing lock on indicates either; a) The wrong trigger edge is selected b) The crank sensor is wired back to front c) The igntiion setup is incorrect. The Spark Edge must be set to falling. Constant Charge Charge time (for 2JZ coils with HPI6) 3ms. Please...

Please make sure the Fuel pump relay has a switched 12v, and the fuel pump -ve wire to trigger the relay.
The output should pull to ground (0v) when active.

Re: checking error codes on rb25det?

To check the error codes listed please go online with your ECU using a laptop.
Click on the Red square int he bottom right hand corner of the screen to get a list of the error codes. If there is no red square there are no error codes listed.

Re: About trigger type: 12teeth+3Home

Your trigger type is not supported. I suggest removing 2 teeth from the camshaft to bring this back to a "24+1 Multitooth" trigger system that is fully supported.

The Sport series has a dedicated CAN stream that is not user configurable. The CAN protocol is attached to this message.

Re: Flooding? Not starting?: E8 w ITB's...

I would also suspect sensor/power grounding is actually grounding the engnie while it is cranking. Please make sure that the engine is not grounding through the ECU wiring, rather than the grounding that you have attached to the cylinder head.

That is the Ford/Mazda/Subaru crank trigger.
If the engin ehas 5 teeth on the cam this is Ford/Mazda Duratec trigger type.

Re: Over fueling in 3 cylinders

I reccomend using an oscilloscope to measure the injection time on each of the 6 injector outputs. This will show that each injector output is holding to ground for the same amount of time.

Re: No spark when cranking

Typically when a car is transported then doesnt start it will be a grounding problem.
Please make sure your "Trigger count at last home" is reasding correcly.
Next, make sure the ground on the ignition module has the same potential as the ground on the ECU.

Re: Staging bar injection time for rotary

The "Staging Bar Injection time" is a 2d map with injection time vs. RPM. This injection time is referfenced when the staging point is met. Think of this like an extra load point right next to the staging bar value. This is required so the ECU does not interpolate the last bar of the prima...

Re: Fuel measuring channels

The fuel calculations are thrown out when the Decel Cut feature is turned on. This will be repaired in the next version of firmware, thank you.
