Re: Enabling Fuel Pump in the tune kills Ignition

No, this is not how it works at all.

it sounds very much like you have a wiring fault. Alternatively, you could post your map and a datalog and we could take a look at it.

Re: Holley IAC 543-105

Here is the wiring information.

https://www.haltech.com/wp-content/uplo ... Wiring.pdf

You can load up a basemap for an LS1 vehicle and it will have the correct IACV configuration information as well.

Hope this helps!

Re: Switched rotational idle.

On firmware 2.24 at least, there is an option to enable a rotational idle switch.

Re: elite 1000 will not fire injectors

If you are getting a home position error, it means the ECU is not reading the cam pulse correctly or at all. Something changed. Either the CAM sensor has failed, the wiring has failed, or the configuration has changed.

Re: Narrow Band O2 Needed with CAN Wideband Kit?

I've never fitted a narrowband sensor on a car with a wideband. If the tune is right, the wideband isn't doing much besides monitoring anyway. With the Haltech CAN wideband, if it goes into an error state, closed loop stops functioning. I'm sure there is a special case for running narrowbands in con...

Re: Elite 1500 almost instant over-temp DTC

Been there, done that. You almost certainly have the 5v or 8v output shorted to ground. Either a bad sensor or a wiring fault. Unplug all of your sensors and then start plugging them in one by one until the fault comes back.

Re: Elite in Galant VR4 CAS

You can. I've also set cars up with utilizing all 4 wires of the shielded cable, and just moving the green wire to the cam or crank pin at the ECU plug. That way you can eliminate one of the shielded cables and run both signals through one cable. It's not perfect, but for digital signals like the Mi...

Re: Elite and PRO14 m&w cdi

You don't need it. The MW gets it's own power source and is turned on with the ignition switch. The wire/relay in the standard Haltech harness is there to drive smart coils that do not use an external CDI.

Re: Elite 1500 and DIS 4 HO is ignitor needed

The DIS 4 is the ignitor in this situation. Just wire the Ign1-4 outputs to the 1-4 inputs of the DIS 4.

Re: Datalog Channel Definition List

What definitions are you needing? Usually the name of the channel is pretty self explanatory. Plus, this list has every channel that can be datalogged to the ECU.

Re: injector duty cycle

225's are awful small for methanol. I work on two cars on methanol, one being a 427 SBF turbo with 700lb injectors, and the other a turbo H22 Honda with two sets of 550lb injectors. The SBF was on a single set of 550s last year, and we were out of injector at about 28psi (somewhere around 1800whp). ...

Re: Problem with CAN system and ECR Relay

For one, the black cables should only be used for the first and last devices on the CAN network. The hub to hub cable should be white, or just cut the looped wire on the black cable. Second, why run the 3 port at all in the new layout? You only have 5 devices total, the 6 port hub could handle that ...

Re: Wideband reporting lambda as stoich when it's actually rich

I'm not really sure what you are trying to accomplish beyond simply thinking that the WBC1 is reading incorrectly. That is certainly a possibility, but your methodology is confusing at best. If you think it's a sensor problem, why not just try replacing the sensor? They don't live forever.
