Hi,
I would like to ask, what i will need to operate my E6X.
I already hane an E6X, an LS1 Ignition Coil, Wideband Lambda Sensor Controller and Display Gauge, the Basic Sensor Pack, Hall Effect Sensor(...used as crank angle sensor), Flying Lead Loom and connector kit.
What's the difference of Ignition Module and LS1 Ignition Coil?
I'm using the LS1 Ignition Coil only. Do i need also the Ignition Module?
The application is an singe-cylinder Yamaha XT engine.
E6X set-up
Re: E6X set-up
The LS1 coils has its own built in igniter, no need for anything else.

Re: E6X set-up
Do you have something else to suggest that i should buy?
Any special setting for my single cylinder application?
I know that the E6X doesn't support single cylinder engine, but i'm trying to set it up as an dual-cylinder, with the 2nd cylinder ignition and fuel outputs removed from the loom...

Re: E6X set-up
Im assuming that setting it to standard trigger would just tell the ECU when to fire, worst case scenario you get half (or is it double??) the RPMs displayed in the software?? But i think that it can be set to 1 cylinder.
Anybody else wanna chip in on this one?

Re: E6X set-up
Althought I'm not sure, i have seen logical rpm values, from 500rpm when cranking to 8500 at the limiter, although some times the sensor doesn't work so well and get something like 16000rpm(!!!), only for milliseconds, as i have seen on data logging.
I have tried both as 1cylinder and 2cylinder, and it seems that as 2 cylinder, it's working better...
I use a Haltech hall-effect sensor, as a crank sensor. I have made on lathe a cylindrical part that is "tight-fitted" to the engine's flywheel and i have drilled a hole to fit the magnet. Due to some mistakes i had to replace the magnet and drill a couple of extra holes to the part i had made. Is there any possibility that those holes interfere with the sensor, changing the reading?
