Throttle Pumps and Closed Loop?

Postby Maxx Mazda » Fri Sep 07, 2007 4:43 am

If I have my closed loop enabled on my E6X, it doesn't wrok unless I turn all my throttle pumps off completely. I have my closed loop threshold set to 15% throttle, but if I just tap the gas sometimes, the car goes way lean and hesitates. I can fix it with the throttle pumps, but when they're on, my O2 correction stays at 0.2% constantly in the data page. With them off, it works well.

Is there anyway to have the throttle pumps enabled and closed loop working, or is it the software logic?

FWIW I use closed loop to control my idle, and my "cycles between corrections" numbers are all good. 10, and 20 for idle I found work best.

What worked for me

I'm not a Haltech guru, but I had the same problem. My throttle dead band set at 0 which kick in my throttle pump all the time. Beware, adjust your dead band 1% at a time, or you will run super lean. Search the forum and see what 510, or THR said.

The dead band is on the fuel setup page.

So, if I set my dead band to the same as my max for closed loop (15% throttle) it should work?
