F10X IACV setup

Postby classicvroom » Tue Jan 29, 2019 3:19 am

I am working on a car that uses the F10X setup. Initial problem was that it was very hard to start cold and would die when started, once warmed up everything was fine.
To overcome this issue I have installed a IACV with 4 wires and enabled the idle speed control in the ECU.
The problem now is that the IACV valve stays shut, and does not move, no matter what values i put in the ECU.
Anyone who has an idea how to resolve this?
i used the following wires:
A Br/W
B Y/R
C BR
D G/Y

Connections vary depending on which valve you have. You might look at the Megasquirt site, they have a good explanation on the operation and the various types. It's how the internal driving coils are terminated out to the connector.

thank you.
I am using a magneti marelli 4 wire IACV which is a bipolar stepper motor. A & D are for coil 1 and B & C are for coil 2
It is 'buzzing' when i switch on ignition but the valve does not actually open. When i switch the leads for A & D there is no change in behaviour.

I have enabled the stepper motor idle control in the halwin software and took the standard values from the F10X manual. is there probably another thing i have to enable to make it work?
