AC and In Gear Idle Up Wiring

Postby Jmsmotorsport » Tue May 07, 2019 8:56 pm

Chasing some advice on wiring in the AC idle up and in Gear Idle up, Wiring in a PS2000 piggy backed onto a Delco in a Auto L67 VY Commdore, so with the in gear idle up I have used the factory neutral switch, so my understanding when the input is no longer earthed it should trigger the generic idle up in the ecu. Now Ac is a bit more difficult because it’s controlled by the BCM so I have wired the Haltech in between the Delco AC output and the AC Relay. My thinking was that the AC Dash switch will trigger the BCM then the BCM sends signal to Delco, Delco outputs to Haltech and Haltech triggers the AC relay and Idle Up. Has anyone done this and am I in the right track?

You are on the right track for both.

For a Sport you will need to assign an A/C output even if you are not using it, but the idle up will work off your input from the compressor relay quite fine.
